Lights! Motor! Asian?--Feb 2010 Part II. 11/6-Pix, part 2. Page 199.

That's actually how it happens with most people. Especially asians apparently. My DBF's lactose intolerant too.

Hmmm, I must be in the Asian minority (does that qualify as a "double minority"?) since I'm not lactose intolerant and don't turn red at the taste of alcohol (like many other Asians I know). Between these two benefits, I'll take the lack of being lactose intolerant as I LOVE ICE CREAM (and usually have a drumstick for desert most nights).:woohoo:

I noticed Ashlyn had her pacifier...we use the same ones for my DS 19 months but was 16 mos when we were at WDW...we ended up stealing both shoestrings off my dad's extra pair of shoes and used one to tie to the stroller and the other to tie to his zipper to his coat/sweatshirt so we were not losing them all the time. (we lose a lot of paci's at home...:lmao:)
The soothies are the best and Ash can't live without them. That's a funny story about stealing your dad's shoestrings. Wendy got inventive on one of our flights and broke out the dental floss so Ash wouldn't lose another paci. Unfortunately, green mint dental floss doesn't work as well as shoe strings:lmao:

LOVE this picture of Dylan!
That's my boy :cool1:

I Love the sunrise pics.....Good Job Derek :thumbsup2 I forget sometimes that sunrises like that are an East Coast thing. Here in VA I see them all the time and there is nothing more gorgeous than watching the sun rise over the Atlantic. My goal is to make it over to the left coast to see a real sunset though.
Yeah, I enjoyed the East Coast sunrises, something different for our left coasters since we're always used to seeing the beautiful colors looking west and not east! Let me know what you think of the sunset photos I posted from our friend's visit a month ago.

Derek, your sunrise pics are amazing!! Putting that on my list of things to do/see while in WDW next time. :D
Yeah, the view was the best part of the BLT. I love waking up early on vacation, cracking out the camera and taking early morning photos in Hawaii, on DCL cruises, etc. Wendy can attest that i'm a view person on vacation...I think they pay off in the long run because I usually end up with some memorable photos to remember the vacations and extend the memories.

What a beautiful sunrise!

Ashlyn is such a sweetie pie. And the thumbs up photo of Dylan - another sweetie pie!
Yup, beautiful indeed. Ash and Dyl are two real comedians. I often wonder if they'll both (as well as Erin) be actors or comedians growing up since they have pretty funny expressions.

as you can see Caleb still uses his...in fact he just figured out he could do this. He is currently getting 4 teeth (the really big ones) right now...so maybe it feels good?? :confused3 who knows!

Too funny. Ashlyn sometimes picks up two pacifiers and doesn't know what to do since only one can fit in her mouth. I guess this photo proves I'm wrong! (She usually just swaps out one for the other and back and forth. Whatever keeps her busy and happy is good enough for me!).:rotfl:

Derek did a great job on those sunrise photos. :thumbsup2
Thanks....love the sunrises.

AWESOME pics Derek! It looks so peaceful!
What a cutie!!!
The fork is almost as big as Ashlyn! :rotfl2:
Thanks about the pics. It was super peaceful. Yes, the food did look big next to Ashlyn, but maybe that explains why she's only in the tenth percentile among her peers in weight (although she eats us out of house and home).

Wow just caught up. I think 10 pages. Slow your roll peeps!:lmao:
Anyhoo, thanks for the update and the tongue info. Enlightening!:rolleyes1

Hi !popcorn::

KIM

Well, this morning I had 11 pages to catch up on since yesterday at noon!

Derek, those sunrise pictures at BLT are beautiful!!! :lovestruc

Jordan, glad you were able to sleep in that morning. :lmao: The tongue pic of Dylan waiting in line at Soarin' is too funny!

Thanks for the many facets of the tongue pics!!! :lmao::rotfl::rotfl2:

This made me think of something I've recently found out that I have, called "Asian Flushing Syndrome" - sort of like an acohol intolerance. I wonder if it's related. Although I'm not lactose intolerant. But anyway, it made me think of it.

Yeah, I wish I had a better zoom lens (I have a cheapy that I used to use with my Nikon film camera) so I could get more of a distant shot of the sunrises. But maybe by next time I'm there:thumbsup2

What kind of camera are you using now? I just got my first Nikon dSLR.

OMG! I was just thinking about this very thing (see above)! I have Asian Flushing (although I'm not Asian - that I know of;)). I've always flushed when I drank, and I also get allergic-like symptoms. Its gotten worse over the years to the point where its not worth it for me to have a drink unless I've taken benadryl first. I decided to look into it and found out its related to this Asian Flushing syndrome, where you lack a certain enzyme that is needed to break down the alcohol. Apparently, something like 50% of people of Asian descent have this. Well, 50% of Asians.... and me. I guess you are in the lucky half, Derek!

My youngest has a dairy allergy, you could try coconut milk or almond milk too.

MmMmMmMmmmM Coconut milk....I love it but I can only buy it at 1 local store!

I saw them and I love them! I've grown up seeing the sun rise over the ocean, I cant wait to see it set over the ocean as well. It's on my list of things to do once the kids move out....or get kicked out!

Caleb will mostly hold two at the same time too! He will have one in his mouth and then swaps for the other one too! DH calls him an equal opportunity paci employer! :lmao: The other night I was going to send him to bed without the pacifier since he was so content in his crib but since he is getting 4 really huge teeth right now I knew I would regret it in the middle of the night!:scared1:

Yes it might be better if you don;t drink if you take benedryl with it! :rotfl: Thats a bad combination! LOL! Course the benedryl would be enough for me! knocks me out cold!!

Oh my !! I go to sleep and miss 5 pages !!!:rotfl2:
I planned to Dis all morning but just got called in to work !:scared1:This has been a weekend from HE** and it;s only saturday morning !!!:scared1:Hopefully I will get out early now but I'm not counting on it !!!:sad2:Will chat when I get home !! Have a good one !!

Okay Jordan.....without looking at the tongue pictures, or sticking your tongue out right now....to which side do you stick out your tongue most of the time -- right or left?

Google will not help with this one!

Loved the pics from back in time. Especially the martini drinking babysitter. :thumbsup2 There's so much funny on here I might have to try and keep up! Hope you have a great weekend!
