As for your boy being in special-ed for a few years....I had some friends in highschool who had been in special-ed for most of their school career, had they not told me I would have never known, some of the most outstanding and amazing people I've ever had the privilege to know. So don't stress it, (easy to say I know) and know that no matter what your boy will come out in the end pretty amazing.
I mean really, look how perfectly normal it is to be chasing around your older sister beating the carp out of her?!?Ya know?

Thanks for stopping my tiny little report! As for AJ, we know that special ed is nothing like it used to be but, kids are still kids and can be mean as hell! With everything that has already gone on with him, I fear what the teasing will do!
<slapping my head-Teach them in which way they should go not which way Mama thinks he should go> Duh! And even if I have something snarky to say to him, he tells me...."Way to speak into my treasure, mom!" 
All children are treasure, and we can speak into that treasure with words that affirm who they are! 
I'm with you too. I wasn't familiar with it as a left coaster, but I just figured it was another "Jordyism" some gross term having to do with the subjects of poofing, parts of the human body that should remain nameless, food or its byproducts, etc.Not a phrase I'm familiar with.
Actually, I may have to do some digging through our photo archives to find the "real" photos of Jordan...worse than drooling....more like him passed out with tons of stuff around him.And Derek, I see your pictures have captured the "real" Jordan!

I can't wait. We're going to stay in a hotel 45 minutes from home...maybe head up into Estes Park/Rocky Mountain National Park. Keegan gets to spend the weekend with Mimi (my mom).
I know how much my mom loves cruises and Europe, so we're sending them on a European cruise! She loved Venice and I know she's going to love going back.
What I am doing is watching Kyle during the day and then going in around supper time !! Wait a minute that's not vacation!!!
I firmly believe that The Lord gives special gifts to the disabled that if you take the time to see you will be blessed many times over !!! Okay off my soapbox !!
Evening all !! I am home and on semi vaction for a week !!
I wanted to comment on the crueklty of kids !! While it's true we need to remember 2 things
1. They are kids
2 They learned it from someone close to them !!!
In my field I often hear cruel things said to the people we serve !! But to counteratc that I more often hear positive things about both them and the staff who care for them !!
In school I was the "CHAMPION"of the disabled and to be honest I beat the living carp outta many a kid who picked on them !!!
In my program, instead of "disabled", we've started saying "differently abled", because that's exactly what they are! They just do things a little differently than the rest of us
