Agreed. DS is a huge Cars fan. We've gone to AoA specifically to see the Cars theming there, but unless you're staying at AoA or Pop, traveling from other resorts to AoA is a pain in the rear with two kids under the age of 4. Plus it's nice to get the Photopass photos instead of just cell phone shots.

not just boys - our DD has always loved meeting Phineas and Ferb (and so have I). Once Ferb tried to run off with her They've had light saber battles and force pushed the photopass person. Those boys are so much fun to interact with. We area all sad they are no longer meeting - I wish they had found another place for them ..

They found a new place for Baymax .. odds are they will find a new place for these.

That being said, with the construction coming at DHS, we can only expect more closing before openings.

It says they are closing permanently. If they were going to be moved, the blurb would say something different.

But they never announced Baymax was going to move, they just said it was being closed (and we found out later it was due to building of Star Wars Launch Bay). Baymax wasn't IMMEDIATELY moved to Epcot, but showed up almost 6-7 months after he disappeared from DHS.

My point is, that if they feel those M&Gs are popular enough, they will show up (EVENTUALLY) somewhere else, just maybe not until DHS is more stabilized . .. or maybe (like Baymax) .. they move to Epcot or MK.

Ditto. My girl loves P and F- fandom is not gender specific. We have wonderful pictures of her at their pop up dance party at DCA a few years ago. It's too bad they aren't meeting anymore. We'll have to catch Lightning in Cars land next time we do the California parks.

Oh so sad to hear this! My DS just said yesterday that he really wants to meet Phineas and Ferb for our trip this spring! Will they not be anywhere else to meet & greet? Hate to have to break this news to my kids.

Today is their last day. The boys will no longer be out meeting with guests.

If it wasn't for AK, I would really consider DL for our next trip, due to so many closings. But, I think DS would be so disappointed if he didn't get to see AK again, and also there'll be ROL etc...

Probably for the Cars, eventually, but I doubt we will see Phineas and Ferb anywhere else. Their show is done...I think they'll go the way of Kim Possible and disappear.

Wonder if we should switch to Animal Kingdom instead. We are only there 3 days & doing 2MK days. Was going to DHS for Pixar/Dis Jr.

I don't think you should switch your park based on one missing M&G. I took my 3yo to DHS for Pixar/Disney Junior and we never even made it to the back half of the park (this was after Animation building closed, but before Star Wars Launch Bay opened) .. there is plenty there still. He probably could have spent all day in the Honey I Shrunk the Playground (which I feel that and Lights Motor Action will be next to go from DHS .. just based on their location in the park).

@Jennunc - Soon, they haven't closed already. However, if you're going to be staying at AoA in the cars area, it's pretty much just as good minus the Photopass photographer, and some car revving/horn honking sound effects that aren't interactive that I could figure. The theming at AoA feels like you're really in Radiator Springs, and pretty much all of the Cars characters are there in life size.
