I haven't been to Disney since they started letting resort guests pick their lightening lane passes seven days out. I need advise from the experts. We will be going to MK on day 2 of our trip and HS on day 5. I would love to try and get Tiana's at MK and Slinky Dog at HS. When it comes time to buy my passes this weekend, which day should I buy first in hopes of getting those two very popular rides? Any tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You mention "we". What DW & I did is I booked for HS and she (on her phone) booked for MK. I had to help her after I finished HS, but we got Slinky & Tiana.

When we went Tiana’s was easier to get than Slinky. For sure do HS first. I would also say Frozen is equally hard as Tiana’s in my experience (if you are going to Epcot)

We are going to Epcot, but not buying passes for that park. We are only doing three park days so the other day we are buying passes for AK. All three days we will be park hopping. We have EEH at Epcot on Monday night so hopefully we can get a lot done then.

DW & I did not do LL for Epcot, we did use Early Entry, and were able to do Guardians, Nemo (waste), SpaceShip Earth, Journey into Imagination, Remy, and Frozen. DW did Journey into Imagination (I went to get my first drink), all before 5p, including a lunch break and a family meet up. I added Gran Fiesta Tour w/DD (DW went back to resort), finished my drinking around the world and was leaving by 8.

I sort of regret not staying for fireworks, but I was beat. I was hoping to use EEH, but just didn't have it in me.

I am new to the Lightening Lane pass. If I am staying 3 nights am I able to book all 3 park days at the 7 days prior to my 1st day or is it 7 days out from each day?

7 days prior to check-in day if staying at a Disney Resort. As an example, if you check in on a Saturday you may purchase you LL the Saturday prior.

This is a valuable mention. ^

When our kids were ~10 to 14yo, they had enough enthusiasm and energy to encourage the whole family’s endurance and morale. But as that park commando novelty wears off, it’s harder to do open to close day after day on 6 hours of sleep.

At some point you show up a zombie to a Happiest Fireworks EVER™ . Brain has shriveled from heat and exhaustion, standing there unable to care about the show because your feet are screaming and the 2 remaining braincells cannot process getting out of the sea of humanity and back to the room.

After a few of those we decided that late mornings or early evening are not a waste of time!

Edit: I didn't see that OP probably already booked their LLs so it doesn't matter, but maybe this will help someone else

OP didn't explicitly say they were staying in a Disney resort but I'm assuming that's the case.

I'm clearly in the minority here, but I would go Tiana / MK on day 2 first and then Slinky Dog / HS on day 5.

A couple of reasons:

1. the difference between day 2 availability vs day 5 availability is quite large, more than the difference between Tiana and Slinky Dog IMO.

Day 2 would be 8 days ahead, Day 5 would be 11 days ahead. So if you were booking today 7/7, 8 days ahead will be 7/15 for Tiana and 7/18 for Slinky Dog.

Looking at Thrill Data, Tiana on 7/15 is already at 5:45 PM, while Slinky Dog on 7/18 is only at 10:45 AM.

2. You really want to have any Lightning Lane reservation as close to opening as possible. Assuming open is 9 AM, it's unlikely that you will be getting Slinky Dog at 9:00, so it would be better to get slinky dog slightly later if you can get some other FP at 9 AM or 9:10 AM. the reason is that you want to "unlock" your ability to book other tier 1 rides as fast as possible, and you can only do that after tapping into your first ride. Even if it's Star Tours at 9 AM, doesn't matter. You would rather have Slinky Dog at 10:45 AM and Star Tours at 9 AM rather than say Slinky Dog at 9:30 AM

If I get the LL multi pass do I have to pay an additional fee to use more passes once I have used one when I try to book additional passes throughout the day?
