Life’s too short...to never sleep in a treehouse! 8/27 TR is up! Link in siggie

Um....can I hire you to work on mine...;)

Sure! You can figure out touring plans for me and I'll make your binder pages!

Seriously though, I am happy to help if you have anything specific in mind. It's fun. I have a few dividers posted on the DISign link in my siggie but will likely be doing some more so I'm happy to play around for you if you want.

:)

I was just kidding, but now maybe I'm not...hmmmm let me think about it and get back to you...working on the itinerary tonight.

Okay, my time zone difference has spanked my again, making me 2 pages behind! Hate that!

Didn't read much of the chatter, so sorry if you've heard this 40 times already:

1) love that beer it at the top of your grocery list... mine would have been wine, but same idea.

2) Your pages rock compared to mine. I have awesome dividers, but my pages are paltry little black and whites done up on Excel. Sad...:sad2: Oh, well, suits the purpose, and will work.

3) Still anxious to hear about FIL! Any news?

Yeah, you and Jordan were up late last night. I went to bed on time for once.

LOL on the beer! I was waiting for someone to comment on that! Combine that with the fact that I've called out cocktail locations it makes us seem like lushes. Of course it IS vacation! And we don't normally drink cocktails at all.

Wine would normally be on the list and might get picked up but the reality is that when we go back to the room to get ready or whatever, a beer, in really really hot august, just is a bit more practical and sounds better. I love white wine but when it is that hot, beer is far more refreshing. If it's a good beer!

I figure a 6 pack plus the other items on the list will fit in my little cooler and be ok hanging with bell services till whenever. That I don't have to worry about an open bottle not getting finished, that's just wrong. It happened on the Feb trip, I'd have been better off with just beer. I bought too many groceries that trip so have pared it down quite a bit and will do the same with the GG order.

It saves quite a bit of $$ lol.

aw.....you can stick clip art in excel. Actually you can do quite a bit and make it look awfully cool if you are a formatting geek like I am. It's a bit of a pita with columns and all that, but doable.

No news on FIL. His PET is rescheduled for tomorrow due to power outages at the doctors, big storm in the bay area. He was supposed to have a breathing test today but we've not heard anything yet. So hopefully news tomorrow.

We have a little bit of drama on the other side (Sandie/Doug..involving Laura) but ugh.. trying to ignore it.

Good for you! I was wishing I could be on longer last night, but was foiled by my attempts for finish The Two Towers that I started eons ago. Just not feeling it with those books, but I promised my kids I'd read them.

Yeah, one would get that impression of me too, from over on my thread, but I'm so like you... a mixed drink about once a quarter, etc... but like you say, IT IS vacation. :lmao:

I figure if those drinking possibilities aren't written down somewhere, they'll go forgotten, or we'll forget about the ones we've read about that we want to try.

Gag me! I hate beer, good or bad, it's just all the same to me- gross! Sorry, just can't choke it down. Although, I'll have to say, I did get my share of it imbibed in college, but that was after consuming several screwdrivers! :lmao:

So, why would there be an open bottle not yet finished?? :confused3:rotfl2:

I'll diddle around with Excel and paint, and see if I can come up with something fun. But so much of it's already done, I'm sorta just wanting to finish up now. The only thing left is my detailed itineraries, but I wont' be able to do those until park hours are released in March!! HA. By then, I should have designing figured out.

Drama never goes away- it's how we deal with it that counts. Hang in there!

How funny. I read them all as a child and made my self re-read Two Towers before it came out (as it was the only one I still owned, which seemed odd, once I had them all). It seemed slower going as an adult.

Exactly! There is a reason I've never had a grey goose slushie. It wasn't written down!

At home, never! But with only 3 days at HR...it could happen as we won't be in the room all that much. I will likely get a bottle or two for the YC (a glass of wine on the balcony!) but might have those delivered. We will see. All depends on where I could store it while we wait for our room. There might not be room. A bottle of rum takes up less space (I'll pack that) and that, with coke is a great vacation drink for us, something we never have at home but almost always do on a "warm weather" trip

I'll be waiting and praying!

So true and, thanks!

They had a terrible storm today. Lots of power outages. The
office that he was scheduled to have the Pet Scan at was one of the power outage areas so the test was cancelled. My poor FIL! It is bad enough to worry about this test once, but now we have to go through this whole ordeal again tomorrow.

Oh...that totally stinks. Your poor FIL. I hope everything gets done today and I bet the breathing test was fine. That's just standard for any lung surgery.

Oh c'mon....you don't want turf pellets? It'd be like opening a card or something that if full of confetti and you aren't expecting it and it gets everywhere.

Wimp.

:rotfl: You're right! I am totally a wimp! And I'm not afraid to admit it!!!!!!

I'd be happy to make a siggie pic for your next trip :) When you're ready just let me know what you want!

OK! I will definately take you up on that! I want a really speciall siggie for the Wilderness Lodge because I am super pysched to stay there!!!!!

Well, I was going to make some smart hiney comments here tonight, but just hit the wall. I think I'll go read 3 more pages of the Two Towers to finish the job off and call it a night. I just PMd you too. Hopefully, we can talk tomorrow!!

Nighty, nite!

Cynthia! You are so NOT a dork!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE your binder pages!!!

Of course you know me and doing stuff like that too!

I acutally did a binder, with a 5x8 binder and made the pages inside and a cover. I tried to do it like the Passporter and have pages with all my info, including park hours, fireworks and parade times on the top and all my info on the bottom. I also did pages with places I can write stuff down and pocketed pages.

When I'm done with it for this trip I'm going to take it apart and start again for next trip ;)

I never posted pics of it in my PTR. I was going to but it I kinda forgot! I love how you have the notebook paper and the different pics!! Very, very cool!!

Thanks, I hope so too. I'd be exctied to stay there as well, the whole gang loves the place! We did look at it as an option this trip but the room configurations just weren't quite right and with the August heat...SAB won.

Oh I bet your binder is adorable! All crafty and handmade and amazing. I just play on the computer!

I am going to add note pages at the back and I'm really leaning towards making it as a soft cover photobook if I can find a way to do it at that size and orientation. We will see.

5x8 would be really nice for reading, a bit bigger than I want to carry but a really nice size!

I love your binder!!! The designs are adorable and sooo creative!! You have inspired me to try and play around little and hopefully come up with something like that for our next trip!! I usually just stick with the Passporter, because the pockets come in so handy and the journal in the back is great..but it's kind of bulky and definitely hard to carry around in the parks. Now, if I could just finalize the dates for our trip, so I can get started.

ooh ooh! when are you thinking about?

I trying to think really hard of something really smart hiney, but am drawing the biggest blank that ever was drawn. So you'll have to be happy with a hearty, "Good Morning, Blank-A-Staaaaaannn!"

I need to rent that movie. It's been ages!

It's a good one, for sure! Very funny! with a good message.

ooh ooh! when are you thinking about?

Well....we have airline credit that needs to be used up before July. So, what's a better way than heading back to our favorite place.;) We really don't want to have to take the boys out of school so we are thinking of the middle of April(spring break=very crowded) OR the end of June (hot and crowded). Still not sure but we seem to be leaning toward April, only because the weather is sooo beautiful and after a long winter we are always ready for some warm weather.:thumbsup2

I'd probably vote for April too. Plus, Flower and Garden!!!
