Need to Know.......Does Disney World Rent Life Jackets for Children ????
Have a 3 and 6 year old and would prefer they wear life jackets when at the water parks or at the resort pools.
We are flying and packing 2 lifejackets would be very bulky............can we get any at WDW?????
Please anyone let me know any feedback
Thanks

I beleive all of the Deluxe resorts have life jackets at the pool, free of charge. I know AKL did when I was there 2 years ago.

We got them at WL, POR and CBR, just check with lifeguard and they will probably direct you to the marina which is where we got them. Waterparks had them too.

We rented one for our 3 y/o at Port Orleans for the duration of our stay. If I remember correctly, we put a $35 deposit on our room charge which was then refunded when we returned the jacket. They even left us a voice mail the night before we left to remind us to return it. We ended up returning it at the front desk when we checked out. Couldn't have been easier!

we have picked one up by the pool at AKL and CBR and also at the water parks (you have to leave a deposit at the water parks)

I stayed at the ASMo and got them at then begining of our stay and returned them our last day. They just copy the number off your keycard and its free. which hotel are you staying at? At the Allstars you rent it from the arcade.

they may not have one available immediately in the size that you require..

We had to wait a couple of hours before one was turned in

Have fun!!

An alternate suggestion is to buy a swim suit with floaties built in. They are not as bulky as life jackets but give enough support to put my mind at ease while my 3 and 4 year old are swimming. They are similar to the short wetsuits that surfers wear, Speedo is the brand name I bought. They are available at Target and Kmart where I live (Iowa). I paid about $30 and think they were worth every penny!!

We found they had them available at just about every pool we've been to, and usually had sizes that were right for our 2 & 4 year old. The most recent trip though I went ahead and brought ours from home. I rolled up swimsuits, water shoes, their favorite towel and swim diapers for our little one and put them inside the jackets - that way they didn't take much space. You could also put other clothes or shoes inside. Ours are the yellow foam ones with the waist and under straps, so they are about an inch thick but when packed with things inside I didn't feel like it was wasted space.

I recommended the floaty suits. My daughter is 7 and learned how to swim using one. We used the Pool Pal brand which is more expensive, but you can find them on ebay cheap. The kids love them because they are more like a bathing suit.
