Tell me about LTT. I looked at the menus on here and on allears, and it seems lunch is from a regular menu and perhaps dinner is more family style? Can someone tell me about the food and would they prefer lunch or dinner? What did you like or maybe what would you never order again? I am planning my December trip:goodvibes

Lunch is much better, IMO. You are correct, (at least for the DDP) the dinner is family style. The food was mediocre at best. Of the several things they offered, I only liked 2, and I'm not a picky eater. Lunch offered menu choices and was delicious.

Oh another vote for lunch! Way better than dinner! DD21 and I have had quite a few things on the lunch menu and have liked everything we've ordered.

Agree with previous posters. Lunch has more variety and is definitely better than the family style dinner. We Love it for lunch....but leave it for dinner.

Another vote for lunch! I tried the pot roast and loved it. I did not like dinner at all.

I vote dinner. I love Thanksgiving so I think it's great! The food is yummy and fresh. I love it all! My whole family prefers the dinner as well.

We've had dinner there, and it was just average. It was the kind of food you could really find anywhere, not full of that disney magical deliciousness! :goodvibes

Dinner was great! I'm gonna disagree with all the PP's, except queenmichelle My family loved dinner. It's done family style, and basically all you can eat. My DW & DD are big turkey eaters, and I loved the flank steak. (Allears says it's carved beef now. Wasn't so at Christmas '08.) I sampled the pork and it was OK, but we're not big on pork loin. Our 2nd platter the pork remained untouched. (We prefer to get our pork as ham or ribs.)

The mac & cheese is very good. It might be a Stouffer's recipe. We had green beans almondine as our 'seasonal' veggie both recent trips we made. I enjoyed the stuffing very much as well, and the gravy is good! I think it's turkey gravy, so it didn't go well with the beef, but I don't use gravy much myself. My DD & DW used a boatload on their mashed taters. Not becuase they had to, but becuase it was that good.

We've been very happy with LTT dinner. Especially since it was a character meal. Since it is no longer so, and we have enjoyed this restaurant so much in the past, we are going to give a lunch try this go 'round. For two reasons: 1: we haven't done lunch here since our honeymoon. 2: we could not find a good dinnertime ADR we liked. So we opted for lunch this trip.

OP here. If you liked lunch better than dinner, what did you order? Would you order again? Still trying to make up my mind:)

I can't speak for dinner there because we've only had lunch there. In February, the food wasn't as good as we had remembered but it is still a solid TS choice in MK.

I had the pot roast and DH had the turkey, both were good. I also really liked the declaration salad and DH loved their three chocolate brownie. DH, however, didn't like their clam chowder and I wasn't too keen on their strawberry shortcake. The kids also enjoyed their salad, noodle soup and meaty mac.

We plan on eating there again and would order many of the same things again.

We've eaten dinner there once, back when they still had characters. We thought the food was really good and the atmosphere was wonderful. The only thing is the mac and cheese is the Stouffer's mac and cheese, so that tasted a bit artificial to me, but my kids devoured it. We are trying out lunch during our September trip and am excited to be returning. The atmosphere is so relaxing and the service was really great (from what I remember of it) :goodvibes.

another vote for Lunch. We did the dinner and thought the food was just ok. For Lunch I ordered the burger and DH got the pot roast..It was all so yummy. We loved lunch so much, we are going to go back again

I have eaten at LTT for both lunch and dinner, and am not a fan of their dinner. Lunch, on the other hand, I love and it is often on our list of restaurants when we visit the MK. The menu is great at lunch, and it is just a nice quiet mid-day respite. I have found dinner to feel rushed and sort of zoo-like, plus I am not a fan of the dinner menu.

We love it for lunch.

I had the salad--excellent. DH had the chicken & dumplings which he enjoyed. We'll be there again for lunch in about six weeks!

Had lunch in Oct. 2009... was so good, when we decided to change our park plans to spend more time on another day in Magic Kingdom... we went back again! The pot roast was DELICIOUS! But most of all, I liked dessert -- especially some kind of fruit crisp thing with shortbread.... Yum... wish I had some right now.

We've had dinner there twice..the first time was great. The second time it was horrible...the food had no taste...and the service was bad.

We had dinner there back in 2006 when it was still a character meal and enjoyed it very much. On our trip last year we had lunch there and it was fantastic!!! 2 members of my party had the Colony Salad and loved it. I had a great burger. The Tavern Fried Cheese appetizer was sooooo good!! The Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert was scrumptious as well!!!:goodvibes

I haven't been there for dinner since I was very young, but my family went there for lunch about a month ago and LOVED it. I had the Colony Salad and it was one of the best salads I've ever had. The Chicken and Dumplings, I'm told, were also really good. I also loved the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake for dessert. I can't wait to go back and definitely recommend it!

LTT has become a must for us each trip. We have only gone for dinner, so it is the family style "thanksgiving" dinner. turkey, ham, roast beef, mashed potatoes, stuffing.....etc. it has always been very good and the dessert is great. the only complaint is that it is no longer a character meal. give it a try, i don't think you will be dissapointed. :thumbsup2

OP here again! Thank you so much to everyone who has given me their suggestions! I really, really appreciate it!:goodvibes
