Liberty Tree Tavern

We walked up for lunch on 6/5 and were seated immediately. It was wonderful. I loved that they let the kids mix and match their appetizers and desserts on the kids menu (some restaurants are strict that one particular entree comes with the carrot/celery sticks and fruit cup no matter what) and the kids loved gettng to pick and choose their meals and as a result ate great. One had pizza, one had mac and cheese, one had ????lol, can't remember. They all had chicken noodle soup and make your own sundaes.

I had a yummy grilled chicken/apple/walnut salad and I think everyone else went for the turkey/mashed potatos etc and everyone was happy.

My DH and I ate lunch there in October, and it was wonderful. We ordered the fried cheese appetizer, and it was really good. My DH had a cup of clam chowder, but he thought it was too smoky. (He's from Connecticut, so he's particular about his chowder.)

For my entree, I ordered the tri-corner sandwich, and it was HUGE and delicious. My DH ordered the turkey and dressing. Now, I'm not a fan of Thanksgiving dinner foods, but the dressing was so good. He liked it, too.

We're planning to go back on December 16 for dinner. We thought it would be a "Christmasy" dinner before the Christmas party that night.

Our family really enjoys dinner at LTT, and we have two very picky eaters (my husband and one of my sons.) The two picky eaters are the ones who like LTT the best!

Next trip, we're trying lunch - in part because our trip is short and we know we'll be at MK at lunchtime, but also because two of our three boys are pre-teen "Disney adults" and the fixed price is hard to justify for a non-character meal when they don't eat anywhere near as much as adults. We're hoping we'll like lunch just as much (and both my husband and son have already asked whether they can order any of the dinner items they like at lunch - looks like they can!)

We just got back from the World yesterday and ate at LTT twice on our trip!!

the first night there we had dinner there and LOVED IT!! if you enjoy "Thanksgiving" then you'll enjoy it! our server wasnt very personable/chatty, but he kept the drinks & food coming!! The turkey is "real turkey" not processed and the flank and ham were good too! My boys loved the mac n cheese!

for lunch - it was very tasty! I got the turkey (again!) We were there forever though - our server was just S-L-O-W!!!! but we got 2 free glasses out of it!! :cool1: We wanted to purchase 2 of the glasses they serve your drink in, and since it was so slow, he just gave them to us!!

Talking with DH on the long ride home yesterday, he said that the LTT dinner was his favorite meal!!

I just switched my dinner ressie to a lunch one. I've eaten dinner here before, October 2006 when it was still a character meal. I remember it being alright but after thinking about it I figured I should try lunch this time since so many people recommend it. Plus, I think it would be better to have a sit-down meal for lunch since it's a great way to escape the heat.

I prefer lunch. It's one of the best table service meals in the Magic Kingdom, besides perhaps The Plaza. Dinner isn't bad, but it's fairly pedestrian without the characters.
