OOPS... I accidently posted this in the review forum so I thought I'd post it in the correct.

I have a 5 year old and a 3 year old. We ate at Crystal Palace last year and liked it. I thought about going to Liberty Tree Tavern this year. Which place has better food? Which place will be more appealing to kids that age? I currently have reservations for both places. I'd like to choose one so I can cancel the other.

The food's about equal... maybe a slight preference for Crystal Palace IMO.

I think kids enjoy Crystal Palace more. At least mine do.

I haven't tried Crystal Palace so I can't compare the two. But I really like LTT. And I really did not enjoy buffets when my DDs were that little. I would take them up first to get their food. Leave them with DH to get mine and by the time I got back to the table they were ready for something else.

I find the family style service much more relaxing and we really enjoyed the food. The characters are great and came by several times. I also like the atmosphere and no complaints with the service.

CP has a better selection, it is a buffet while LTT is still all you can eat, just served family style. We enjoyed them both, but for little ones CP seems brighter and the characters are so darned cute :goodvibes (Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger, Piglet). LTT has Minnie, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. The restroom is also upstairs at LTT, versus downstairs near the buffet area at CP. Either one will be a treat and they are both fun... CP is just a little more laid back and we also had numerous opportunities for pin trading while there as well! :yay: HAVE FUN!!

I think it depends on what characters your kids are more acquainted with and/or like. The food at both places, in my opinion, is about the same quality. We eat at Crystal Palace every year because I am a big fan of Pooh and friends; we ate at Liberty Tree Tavern for the first time this year...but had lunch, not dinner, as we have no "young kids" any more and we were alone so it wasn't as important to us to see Minnie, etc., as it was Pooh.

My vote is for LTT.

I love the service and you don't have kids running all over the place. The last time I ate at CP I felt like a Sardine.

We love LTT and are doing it again this weekend during MNSSHP. We really did not care for CP but did love the characters at both places. I am not a huge fan of buffet meals so like the family style service at LTT. Do have your little ones go to the restroom before arriving at LTT. The restrooms are very small and they were positively disgusting as they dont have a full time attendant like the larger restrooms in the park.

We really didn't like the family style food at LTT and have not gone back. My DD loves Pooh and I love the atmosphere at CP. I also really like the food at CP even though I usually hate buffets. We have gone to CP 3 years in a row and it is one of our favorites.
