Just jumping on to keep up with the rumor

I definitely agree! There needs to be a balance and recently the scale has been tipping too far toward character meals! They're noisy, take longer, usually cost more and overall are not a great experience. If you want to see the characters go to the meet and greets there are certainly enough of them especially in MK. Let's keep the majority of dining experiences peaceful and quiet.I hope the characters do not return...
Doesn't anyone else cherish a quiet, peaceful dinner without having a bunch of interruptions?
I mean, yes, some character meals are nice. But, does that mean every single restaurant in the MK must have characters? For cryin' out loud, how about a little balance..![]()
I've only been to WDW once. May will be my 2nd trip EVER. We have two character meals scheduled: A Princess Lunch in Norway (just the girls - me, my niece and my sister) and then a character breakfast (all of us) at a restaurant where we are staying (Cape May @ Beach Club). I don't mind character meal, unless I have a fast pass for something and we MUST get done eating in a set amount of time.

I didn't ever say adults don't enjoy a character dinners! I just said it's nice to have a quiet place sometimes. LTT with characters is not a quiet place, yes it's a slower paced setting but it's not quiet in any sense and the word when characters are there. Why shouldn't we have a place peaceful and quiet in MK? We're no different than anybody else and certainly don't want to leave the park just the dinner! We definitely have fun enjoy ourselves in the Parks would just like a break once in awhile, something most people like. Please don't try to tell others what they should be doing on their vacation in just make your comments based on your preference!I hate to disagree with both of you, but some of us ADULTS actually enjoy the character dinners. Sometimes its nice to be able to get to meet the characters in a casual, slower paced setting. Why not kill 2 birds with 1 stone? By doing the character meals, you get to take a break from running around the park chasing the charcters and you get to eat a meal at the same time. If you want to go some place peaceful and quite, you might want to try somewhere else besides WDW. Some people like to have fun and enjoy themselves on their vacations, especially to WDW!
Isn't the Plaza and Tonys character free. I'm big on character meals but understand that many don't like them. It does seem odd to me though that you can't eat with Mickey in the MK.
You never could - Minnie appeared at Liberty Tree, but not Mickey.
Having Mickey at Chef Mickey's and then at another restaurant I think is bad show.
