Liberty Tree Characters: RETURNING???

Having Mickey at Chef Mickey's and then at another restaurant I think is bad show.

He's also at Tusker House?

He is at Ohana and Garden Grill as well

Yes, even though he is at Garden Grill, O'hana and Tusker House, I do agree with others that since he is the ICON of Disney World, it would be appropriate that he be at MK for a meal. I know that the LTT didn't even have Mickey there, but they had the closest group to the fab 5. I think what most probably feel is that why is there a restaraunt that is dedicated to Pooh and all his friends, but not one for Mickey especially in the MK? Maybe Chef Mickey's should be moved to the MK...but I gues that would be another thread.
We are going to Garden Grill this month to get our fill of Mickey, Pluto and Chip and Dale, but LTT will be sorely missed...especially for Minnie.

First to disboards...

Second, do not get excited yet...They are not bringing the characters back...As of now it is just a rumor...Some think it is coming soon...But there has been no word from Disney and it is very possible they will not bring back the characters...

I also think this restaurant is a little pricey for non charachter meal!!

If they bring the characters back I hope they don't raise the price it doesn't look like they lowered it when they left

So I thought the rumor was they were to return by Easter. I called to make an ADR today for July and the CM specifically told me "please be aware there are no longer characters at the LTT".

Oh well, I'm fine w/ or w/o characters. ust curious though.

The WDW Radio Show Podcast Episode #114 for the week of 4/14/09 is still reporting the rumor:

Another RUMOR that has been floating around is that Character Dining may be returning to Liberty Tree Tavern, which stopped having a character dining experience in January. If this is the case, we may start seeing characters return in the next few weeks.

I wish they would make an announcement already if this IS true.

Well, you know Disney, they like to keep things secret. They didn't tell us about Bay Lake Towers until they were already halfway done.

LOL. Yes, but only for breakfast. They made the change when they switched Tusker from CS to a TS buffet, I think around the end of 2007. They took away Donald's Breakfastosaurus, or whatever it was called, in Dinoland and replaced it with Donald's Safari Breakfast at Tusker.

Still no confirmation on characters returning? Sad! What were they thinking! Guess they never heard the expression "if it ain't broke....don't fix it!".
