What is dinner like at Liberty Tavern? I just made ADR for dinner for Dec.

I'm doing Crystal Palace in September so I kinda wanted to do something different but I want it to be good. I've heard great things about CP but I haven't heard much about Liberty Tavern?

It is yummy and the atmosphere enjoyable. It's nice to have the characters and your meal come to your table. No juggling plates from the buffet. It is served family style and the food is yummy. I really like the turkey, dressing, mac and cheese and last but NOT least warm cherry cobbler with ice cream........

we also enjoyed LTT it was a lot of fun and the food was very good we are going there again on our next trip :tinker:

That's great to hear, I made a 5:30. I pretty much had my pick from 5 to 6 so I choose inbetween. Hopefully, we will have really great interaction witht he characters.

We usually do counter service when we go but I'm purchasing the DDE card so I want to make these trips special for my girls as they are growing so fast. The oldest goes to Kindergarten this year~~ the time has went by so fast.

It's our second fav. TS!! Kinda like a small T-giving dinner...very intimate. I hope you love it!! :thumbsup2

I love dinner at LTT:thumbsup2 I thought the food and service were great. I loved the atmosphere and the character interaction is wonderful. I would go back in a second.

we were there in May and we love it everytime we go but we always make the mistake of eating way too much and feeling sick afterwards! lol. This visit we even got to see the characters twice b/c they made their rounds rather quickly. As for the food we love it. They had changed the dessert for us from the cherry which we had 2 yrs ago to peach which I enjoyed b/c I was not really a cherry fan. I enjoy all the food but I dislike the beef and the green beans were the best I've ever had. Later in the day we went back and purchased the mugs for 5 bucks (so we would not break them) but they used to have awesome sweet tea which they no longer have :( other than that we had a great experience as always!!!

I just booked this again today for our upcoming Dec. trip. This has always been the hardest ADR for me to get (not sure why). DH  LOVES:love: this place. We have always liked the character interaction.

Great location, atmosphere, and character interaction, but the food was only mediocre, IMO. Except the salad. Great salad.

IMHO, the food is just "eh". We love the atmosphere though. We've eaten here twice. The most recent visit was June 6th for DD's 10 birthday. We don't plan to return here anytime soon though. The food just isn't worth it.

I'm pleased by all the favorable responses. We have an early dinner booked there ourselves for the 1st time.
One question about desserts....is the cherry cobbler thing the only dessert?

We were there last week- had apple cobbler for dessert. It was the best part of the meal. Very bland food- not impressed and defifinately not worth the money. We will probably not go back. Our service was VERY VERY slow. Tables who came in after us left 10 minutes before we got our dessert.

We enjoyed the food. Maybe even more because it was kid friendly and they were all happy. The bread with honey butter is so yummy. My kids loved all the meats and the mac'n'cheese. We did not go last year because we wanted to try some other places. And I missed it. But we will be back next year! We also made our reservations around 7:15pm. After dinner we walked right out of the restaurant and got front row seats on the steps for Spectromagic. (They had kept the stairs cleared for people entering and exiting the restaurant until right before the parade) And this was in June! Nothing like enjoying a meal, while everyone else is sitting on the curb for an hour before a parade.:cloud9:

This is the best character meal we've ever had (all the way around). We've eaten at most. Good selection of characters too.

We've always had a good meal there. After touring the park all day, the simple stick-to-your-bones meal is really satisfying. I also love the colonial decor...

I'm confused on this one as well. I was ready to cancel my ADR, but this thread seems positive. I've never tried it here, and it gets such mixed reviews (referring to the Stouffer's ones). Argh! What to do? Maybe I should check if any times are available for CP. We were looking for someplace to eat before the P & P party. I'm bad at making these kind of decisions? Help....................

If you are interested in a gourmet dinner then this is not the place for you. My family enjoys the food although it is pretty expensive. We really enjoy the rolls, salad, turkey, ham, green beans, and dessert. I am not a big fan of the beef or mac and cheese, but everyone liked them. We enjoy this meal because the children are kind of picky, but really like it here. The dessert has changed between apple and cherry for our visits. We have found that this is the best character interaction. Every trip annually here has been a great experience for us.
This trip is adult only and this is the only character meal that we are doing. Like I stated above, this is not a fancy gourmet meal(we are doing several of those too like Jiko, Narcoosee's...), but the atmosphere and gfood are fun. I say go for it!

We had dinner at LTT for the first time last Saturday and it was the best character meal we had all week! The character interaction was wonderful, Minnie and Chip chased each other around the restaurant and sprayed each other with spray bottles, Goofy and Pluto played around with DS and Dale tried to arm wrestle my DH (just some examples of our experience) but they took time at each table and really tried to make the children feel special!:cloud9: The food was great too they had ham, turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, dressing, green beans, rolls, flank steak, mac and cheese, and apple cobbler with ice cream for dessert. Of all the character meals we've had in the past (CM, GG, CP, Donald's) LTT is our favorite and is a must for every trip in the future!!:thumbsup2
