Let's talk parades...

I see that on a given day at MK there's more than 1 parade. I don't necessarily need to see 3 parades in one day. What are the more popular ones?

Any I should use my 3rd FP for over another ride? I want to use a FP for A&E (crossing my fingers I get one) & 7D - that leaves me 1 more choice - don't know if I should use it for a parade, Peter Pan's Flight, Splash Mountain, or Big Thunder Railroad. We'll have 2 MK days, so between the 2 days I can use a FP for all of these things, just don't know about using one for a parade?

We'll be with DD who is 6, so that's something to take into consideration too as far as which might be more appealing to a 6 year old girl?

We did visit Disney 2 years ago and only parade we saw was the Electrical parade, which was neat, but not sure if I'd want to see it again versus seeing something new?

Are there parades at other parks, or only MK?

Only MK has parades currently. FP considerations are discussed in the green link in my signature.

The Festival of Fantasy parade is a must see. The Street Party is fun and a nice break, but when we were there it was on several times a day so it was easy to catch it. The FoF has loads of characters, amazing floats, dancers, music... it's a really great parade and we thoroughly enjoyed it. We did use a FP for it but we were there for two days. You may want to use a FP for Peter Pan - the lines are otherwise crazy - but if you have two days my personal reco would be to make the FoF parade a priority, whether that means staking out a spot or using a FP.

The Festival of Fantasy parade is great! Your daughter will love it! You could FP+ it or get a snack and stake out a spot a bit earlier (which is what we did). I recommend seeing the parade near the beginning in Frontierland.

My kids enjoyed the Move it! Shake it! Dance party. it's held at least twice a day and we happened to run into it two times just by accident.

The Electrical parade is only held on certain days so we missed it this trip.

The Festival of Fantasy parade is my favorite parade, ever, in any Disney park. It is so awesome!

My ratings:

Festival of Fantasy Parade - rated A

Main Street Electrical Parade (current version) - rated C+

Move It Shake It (as a parade) - rated D- (or lower)

Move It Shake It (as a "dance party") - rated C-

Move It Shake It (as a "Noisy Screaming Mess of Humanity") - rated A+ ;)

For FoF parade, how much in advance should we stake out a regular, non FP spot? Touring plans says 30-45 minutes - is that about right? Where does it start in Frontierland?

Thanks.

For FoF parade...

Where does it start in Frontierland?

Thanks for this - ha! Even though Electrical Parade was the only one we saw when we were there, I do have to say, after about 5-10 minutes, I was over it.
