Can the fireworks really be seen from the pool, well enough to make it worthwhile to go down there? If so, do you think the Halloween fireworks will also be visible?

We're booked for a room with two double beds -- any advice on where we should request to be placed?

Does anyone know what kind of crib they provide? A Pack N Play, perhaps?

Thanks!

We usually watch from behind Building 2, at the very back of the property. But that's because we always stay in Building 2. View is pretty good. I assume it will be from the pool, too. But you know that you won't see any of the effects on the castle from there, right? I've seen the Halloween Screams show, and it's great. But a lot of the show is at/on the castle, so the view from outside the park won't give you nearly the same effect.

I believe the rooms with the two doubles are in Buildings 3,4,5,6. Folks here have different opinions of where to request. They are two story buildings, and the 2nd story rooms have skylights. Some folks love that, as it feels nice and light and airy. Some folks hate that, as the sun streams through the skylight in the early AM and wakes you up. I've never stayed in these buildings, so I have no opinions.

Can't help you with the crib.

There are many great HoJo threads, let me bump up one of my favorites. We haven't stayed there yet, but I feel like I've read almost every HoJo thread here!

We watched the fireworks from the pool years ago. It wasn't a completely unobstructed view but the kids loved it. We had pizza delivered and they watched while swimming. :thumbsup2

The fireworks themselves are seen very well from various parts of the property. It's nice that way, as the fireworks are shot off in Toon Town, which happns to be almost directly across the street. You will miss the audio, and you won't see Tinkerbell or the castle.

I have not stayed in the 2 doubles rooms for a couple of reasons- we really need two queens, and we absolutely must have a microwave and fridge. I can see the appeal to these rooms otherwise, as they are in cute little buildings that are super easy to get in and out of.

The cribs are metal rickety rolling cribs. If you can, take your own pack and play. It's worth hauling it, I promise.
