You know me, I've already asked about the CW and the Resort Restaurants, Now it's time for the restaurants in the parks! I'm a serious foodie--can you tell??? :rolleyes1

First, I have a couple questions, my son (who loves anything to do with scary movies) thinks Monster's Cafe looks like a place he'd like to eat. Is it any good?

Secondly, I want to know your favorite Counter service at each park AND your favorite sit down place in each Park (I know that Mythos is probably going to win in IOA!).

Thanks guys! :goodvibes

No contest for me...MYTHOS!!!! Great food, atmospher, and service.

i like them all................

love Finnegans, Mythos, Lombards for table service.

monsters cafe has the rooms set up with different monsters but i only do the pizza there.

Louie's has the best pizza, salad, meatball sandwichs.

IFFF also a place i do lunch at regularly. love the american fried chicken plates and the fruit salads.

amityville has great chicken

there are too many for me to name.
if i keep going i will list most of the places.

i think you should do a thread on where NOT to eat.
there are a few of those on my list.
i try each place 3 times before i would scratch the place off of my list.

Mythos:thumbsup2

Lombards not so much --not that good of selection IMHO Go to Red Lobster if you want a decent seafood or just go to RPR for their seafood. Tchoup has really good shrimp.

Churros--gotta have 'em oh so good....sin on a stick:) Okay seeing that in print looks well, you know people get your minds out of the gutter.:rotfl::rolleyes1

macraven, please share your 'do not' list. Sounds like you give them a fair chance first, so Please share! (I need a little begging icon to go here!)

At the Studios...I would recommend:

Counter Service - Louie's

Table Service - Finnegan's

At IOA...I would recommend:

Counter Service - Thunder Falls Terrace

Table Service - Mythos

Oh...I'm not fond of Monster Cafe.

Actually Lombard's is our favorite place to eat at Studios....you can go to Red Lobster anytime (although we never do, can't stand it would rather go to a local seafood place-east coast). They have the best virgin Pina Coladas too and the kids loved the milk shakes!!!

IOA counter sevice
Comic strip cafe and Thunder falls terrace

IOA Sit down service
Confisco Grille

Universal Studios Counter service
International food & film festival & Beverly Hills Boulangerie

Sit down service
Sorry never did sitdown meal in this park

and just because I missed the thread on Citywalk and the resorts I wish to add my 2 cents;)

Citywalk
Our 2 favs are
Margaritivilles and NBA City

Resorts
at PBR Sals quick service with some seating but REALLY GOOD sanwiches salads and pizzas

Enjoy your trip

Mythos(3:00pm) yesterday and Lombards(1:00pm) Saturday. Both had good but not great food.Prices are comparable or less to similar resturants outside the parks.

We ate at Tchoup Chop for dinner Saturday, the food there is impeccable and the service is a good as anywhere in the world I have eaten before.

The hidden gem I love most is the gelatos in USO just down from the Mummy.

i think the place you are talking about is louie's for the gelato.

there is a separate counter in Louie's for ordering that.

IOA:
Favorite restaurant: Mythos
Favorite counter service restaurant: N/A (Because of Mythos, I don't do counter service in IOA)
Favorite breakfast: Croissant Moon Bakery
Favorite ice cream: Cathy's Ice Cream

Favorite breakfast: The Boulangerie
Favorite ice cream: Schwab's Pharmacy

:thumbsup2 All my favs also except Metro got me hooked on Thunder Falls counter service..Great rottis chicken!!

I'd love to try Thunder Falls, but that would mean giving up lunch at Mythos for that day! I don't know if I can make that sacrifice! :lmao:

I understand that,I love Mytho's..But if you ever get a chance its pretty good!!:thumbsup2

We'll have an off-day for our upcoming October trip, used for hanging out at Citywalk and shopping at the resorts. We might have to make a lunch stop at IOA on that day because I do love rotiserrie chicken!

Another vote for Thunder Falls
Have to try the wraps there I hear they are good but have tried the ribs and chicken and the grilled corn
Very good

I sure will miss the Enchanted Oak this time! Their corn chowder was awesome!

One place that I didn't notice anyone mention that we love is Cafe La Bamba at the Studios. Everything we have tried there was good. They have chicken, ribs, bbq sandwiches and burgers.
