Let's talk about the restaurants in the park now

i loved La Bamba but it has been closed the last 2 trips i have made there.

I sure will miss the Enchanted Oak this time! Their corn chowder was awesome!

One place that I didn't notice anyone mention that we love is Cafe La Bamba at the Studios. Everything we have tried there was good. They have chicken, ribs, bbq sandwiches and burgers.
Never ate there but will give it a try this year :thumbsup2

Thanks for your suggestions, I'm keeping a notebook with the tips I get on the board, so now I've got the list for the foods in the parks. And also thanks for the suggestions about the churros and the gelato! YUM! Also, the ice cream suggestions. I've almost decided that I'd have to stay at least 10 days to try every place I want to eat! :lmao: Good thing you walk a lot in the parks!

Never tried Cafe La Bamba.. Kinda forgot about it. We somehow ALWAYS end up at International Food & Film Festival at Universal.

I'd love to try Thunder Falls, but that would mean giving up lunch at Mythos for that day! I don't know if I can make that sacrifice! :lmao:

do what i do.
pace yourself and pig out.

do both places but give yourself 4 hours in between......

I love the IFFF !!!
there are 4 things i always will eat there.

The last time I ate at La Bamba, I had the special of ribs and half rotisiere chicken.......sooooooo good.......

fyi, monsters cafe was closed this past weekend, and saturday was crowded for mardi gras. at us, finnegans is our favorite. and at ioa, we love confisco grille for lunch.

I've only eaten at Mythos (twice, so good!!), Finnegan's and Fire Eater's Grille. Oh and the Croissant Moon Bakery. Fire Eater's had the best gyros, but it seems to only be open seasonly or something. The sandwich I had from Croissant Moon was ok, but the cheese croissant was to die for!

I also love the gyros at the Fire Eater's Grill!

My fav counter service at USF is Richter's for the San Andreas chicken sandwich, and large chocolate chip cookie.

For table service the only one I've eaten at in years was Finnegan's during this past HHN and it was quite good. I used to love to eat at Lombard's for their Lomburger for years, but quit since I don't consume much red meat anymore, and since I'm cheap (since I frequent the parks alot) I'd rather spend the money on small meal and yummy snacks, rather than just one meal and a tip.
