Remember when...

1.) before The Crystal Palace was a buffet, the main course was Spaghetti and Meatballs?

2.) Pecos Bill's Cafe used to give paper drinking straws, and they'd get all soggy halfway through your drink?

3.) the monorail CM's used to wear silver helmets?

4.) you could walk right onto If You Had Wings with practically no wait?

What else do you remember?

The Swan Boats at the MK were one of my dad's favorite rides.

We also liked the sky ride that went through Fantasyland.

You used touch screens and video conferencing to make your dining reservations in Epcot? And had to do it the day of?

There were no handlers and there was a free-for-all trying to get a glimpse of any characters?

Isn't it still a buffet?

When there was a parade in Epcot ,and unless you were going to watch it, you stayed far away.

In Worldshowcase, there was a Mickey or somelse in the every country's outfits.

At Epcot was an airshow over the lake.

Figment was a great ride.

there Was a aracade on Main Street at the Magic Kindgom

Pleasure Island

River Country.

I love remembering the old days! Remember when:
1. The character breakfast at the Polynesian was "Minnie's Menehuene" and it was a buffet
2. FW had the Melvin the Moose character breakfast-"Wake up, you silly moose!"
3. There was a different character dinner on the main level of the Contemporary (the Concourse Grill?)
3. Donald Duck ate breakfast at the Empress Lily
4. The buses were identified by colored flags, no signs. I THINK the FW bus was brown flagged.
5. There wasn't a bus stop right at the MK and the only way to get there was via the TTC6. Both sides of Epcot opened at the same time (Ah, yes-breakfast at the French bakery)
6. There wasn't an IG entrance to Epcot, and more importantly the main entrance had beautiful flower gardens instead of that ugly graveyard thing.

Tickets for rides - E tickets were for the best rides

I loved the 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea ride - and what about the aerial tramway. Or Journey Into InnerSpace? I think that's what it was called.

I remember that! DS #2 is probably in so many pictures of kids with characters. Whenever he saw a character, he'd just make a beeline, run up and hug him. He didn't care if the character was about to get his picture taken with someone. But Matt wasn't the only one who did it-we have lots of pictures where he was posing with a character and there's some other stranger on the other side, hugging the character.

Tangaroa Terrace at the Polynesian.....ahhhh....that was the highlight of my trip when I was a kid. :)
