HarleyMickey needs help in the planning of granting a wish for a teenager who has chosen Disneyland as his "wish".

How many times have you read about a child having his wish granted by the Make A Wish Foundation? Are they not the most wonderful stories? Have you ever thought - I wish that I could be a part of helping? YOU CAN.

The wish grantee is a 14 year old boy who dreams of a magical experience at Disneyland. But help is needed to make sure that happens. I challenge all of the great people of the Disneyland Board and the DIS to come up with at least one special thing that he can experience. Take 5 minutes to post something creative to make his wish the best one ever granted by Make A Wish.

Anyone up to my challenge?

1. Watch Fantasmic
2. Eat at the Blue Bayou
3. Ride splash mountain
4. Ride the matterhorn
etc., etc.,

How about if the Unofficial Disney Board sent $$ to the Make a Wish Foundation to "help" this wish come true? Wonder if we could all do it together!!!

The wish cost is being paid by Make A Wish. HarleyMickey is only looking for IDEAS.

Here are some of my ideas:

1. Ride in the front of the monorail
2. Fantasmic Dessert Buffet
3. Character Meal
4. Join the captain on the Mark Twain
5. Participate in the parade

Stay on site or if not bring lots of Disney items from Walmart or another affordable place to make it special. (soap, books, etc.)

Also, he needs a Disney hat, his choice!

I don't remember who posted, but I guess there are also name tags that are special. Hopefully someone will know what I am talking about and give more info. They are stamped or engraved and someone said you can have it made saying anything you want and it would make a person feel special and possibly get picked for something! Knowing that it is someone's speical wish (especially for a special reason) always make those around them a little nicer!

I hope he has picture taken with the castle all aglow in the background. This will last forever! :)

I would contact City Hall, and see if they could do something for him - maybe have him actually ride in a float, or march with the band, front of the line passes, perhaps; Fantasmic Dessert Buffet would also be nice.

I think MaryJo ha a great idea. If you contact city Hall, the might even be able to arrange a special behind the scenes tour or something extra special. - Karen

There are already some very good ideas and having never been to Disneyland, my advice may be premature . But, having two teenage sons about that age (13 and 15) they would like to do something that involved as many kids and as few adults as possible (oh the joys of being a mother of teens). How about getting to drive the monorail with a "live" band and all his friends, some cute girls and good eats? Better if it was at night, because teens always sleep late! ;)

I think that MaryJo's idea about City Hall sounds perfect! And if nothing else, he can get his nametag there. :)

I can't really think of anything that hasn't already mentioned, but I second MaryJo's suggestion of talking to City Hall to see if something special can be set up.

Aside from that, what I was going to mention was:

Ride up top in the Mark Twain
Ride front of Monorail
Fantasmic Dessert Buffet

I also like the idea of Club 33 if he can get in.
