Lets help each other save money at WDW!

One item that we've added to the list after our last trip is a glasses repair kit. My wife and I both wear prescription glasses. While at the Studios, one of the screws that keep the lens in her sunglasses frame fell out. Imagine looking all over the floor and under the tables of the Studio Catering Company for a tiny little screw. We never did find it and quickly learned that a repair kit is not sold anywhere in the park. We finally found one in the gift shop back at Pop. It had a screw that was larger than the original but did the trick for the rest of the trip with a tighten every few hours.

Glad to see I'm not the only one carrying their fan to the hotels (or buying or requesting one I guess..) In the dead of winter I've got a fan running both for the white noise and as soon as I lay down in bed, I get roasting hot hence the fan.

I feel strange walking through a hotel lobby carrying a fan when I travel (I don't travel often, a few times for work.) But the fan is a necessity as is my pillows because I can't sleep with 4 foot thick pillows. I've never been in a hotel that didn't have hugely thick pillows.

I think I must be less concerned about germs and sanitation than other people. I don't bring anything like wipes to clean the room or sanitizers, and I'm quite content using Disney's pillows and Disney's towels. The things I do find essential to bring from home:

conditioner (I find the Disney shampoo really dries my hair out)
body glide and band-aids (blisters really make vacations less fun)
sunscreen and aloe (in case I forget to redo the sunscreen enough)
painkillers, just in case
make-up removing wipes
zip-lock bags in various sizes. I always seem to find a use for these, whether it's bringing along a snack or leftovers from a meal, or keeping my camera dry on Kali River Rapids, or keeping coins in to use for pressed pennies.
nutritious snacks: homemade trail mix, homemade fruit and nut bars, things like that - to eat in the room or in the parks.

I keep hearing about this stuff and think I will get some before our visit next month. Question is, where do I find it?

Drugstore.com has it. I found that one tube lasts a really long time and is a lifesaver for those "rub" spots. I am using it this week to break in new flip flops, the spot between my toes always rubs a little at first.

I have a small key chain light that I can hook on a key chain attachment in my back pack or my canvas bag from Disney World (the promo bags you can buy when you spent $ at the stores in the parks a few years ago). It was priceless when hunting for something in dark attractions or at night time parades.
