Let this be on the record : I did NOT instigate this trip... Complete :)

Just joining in. I have read a previous TR of yours and loved it. You really are a great writer.

I'm here! I'm here!
Thank you for finishing....this is a great report! You do a great job writing....you make us feel like we are there with you!
Can't wair to read more!!

p.s. your costumes are fantastic! but too bad the black hairspray took so long to wash out :(

Thanks for reading !! Yeah you'd think I would have figured out beforehand that black hairspray + what is mostly dark blonde hair = not good but nope ;) I was really glad that our costumes came out pretty cool, we got them last minute online and they didn't have much left that would fit, and mine was really "homemade" which if you know me is usually a recipe for disaster (our couch never got over my "artsy" phase). :rotfl:

:cool1: glad to see you are back....I always enjoy your reports and am glad to hear this is one of your best trips!

Thanks for the great update!

I love your trip reports, glad to see we get to read the rest of this one :)

Im happy you decided to finish your report too :thumbsup2

Thank you all for reading !!!!

Still here too. I want to go to the MNSSHP one day. It sounded like so much fun.

I'm so glad you are continuing! The party sounds like so much fun.

The parties are a blast ! Jesse & I are considering taking a "sisters only" trip at the end of the year and we're having a tough time choosing. She's never seen WDW at Christmas time but the party was so fun we'd really like to do it again.

Yay! An update! :cool1: Your costumes were great... And the pictrues with the 7 dwarves are very very cool.

So glad you decided to finish your TR. Waiting for more :thumbsup2

That day started a little too roughly for my taste.
I was sound asleep, but Grumpy and SewingKit, I mean, Jesse, were already up. Apparently someone opened a pack of cookies or something, the noise scared the bejesus out of me, and I jumped from the bed, yelling "qu'est ce que c'est????!!!!!!!!!" ("what is it??"). Well, I TRIED to jump from the bed, but see I was sleeping on the side that is closer to the wall, plus I was rolled into my sheet, and so when I tried to "jump" I ended up getting tangled in the sheet and slamming myself against the wall.

Good morning to you,too.

Of course the other two thought it was hilarious, and I got quite a few "I'm gonna open this pack of chips now, don't throw yourself into the wall!" or "I am now going to touch this plastic bag, but it-will-not-hurt-you." through the week...

Today was Seaworld day. For Jesse. Who loves Seaworld. Not for us. Who are sick to death of it. Jesse dragged me there at least four times this summer when we were staying on iDrive. I used to like Seaworld quite a bit but once or twice a year is enough thankyouverymuch. The SW entry is free with the Discovery Cove package. Grumpy & I had hoped that Jesse would have forgotten that, but, no such luck.

For breakfast we shared one of the pastries I had bought at AK the day before. It looked a lot different than when I first bought it but it wasn't too bad!

DSC04557.jpg

So after we got ready we headed to the bus stop, got on the first non-DTD bus we saw and got off at El Centro to get a cab. Grumpy saw her valet-parking friend from Jamaica and she was happy but her feet were still hurting from last night and she refused the pair of Crocs I offered her.

This was one of the days where SW was having a Halloween Spooktakular theme going on and it was busier than usual. They had costumed people walking around and it looked cute.

DSC04558.jpg
PIC_0039.jpg

I had checked the show times online and we'd made it just in time for the first Believe show of the day.

Except it's not "Believe" anymore. Today it was a new thing to show off the new baby that had been born only a few weeks earlier, they called it "The Shamu Family". It was nice. Nowhere as impressive as Believe but nice.

PIC_0002.jpg

DSC04560.jpg

You can see the baby a little bit in this picture :

PIC_0033.jpg

The show didn't last very long and Jesse went to see the whales in the Underwater viewing area.

Now this is what Jessica told me happened. She went to see the whales and took a lot of pictures and videos. So Jesse is leaning over, closer and closer, while some SW guide is telling everyone else about the whales. And she leaned so close that she banged the lens of her video camera into the glass, making a big BONG noise that starled everyone. They all looked at her, she felt so stupid AND she hurt her forehead! :rotfl:
I'm just glad this whole "clutz" thing is a family trait.

If we walked fast enough we'd be on time to see Allure. I wanted to make sure we saw all the shows today because I knew if we didn't, Jesse would find a way to drag us back to SW at some point and I was NOT going to let this happen!

On the way we picked up some trick & treating bags, although we never actually got candy but the bags were cute. Jesse & Grumpy also had me take their pics with some dressed up ladies, I think they were supposed to be jellyfishes.

PIC_0043.jpg

PIC_0044.jpg

Next was Allure. I knew Grumpy would hate it, she hates anything that sings and dances except Festival of the Lion King (she loves Timon). We got nice seats towards the front & center but at the last minute some really tall lady sat in front of me and I couldn't see the stage anymore. Not that I cared, I'm not big on dancing jellyfish either. You'd think I would remember, since Jesse made me see this twice this summer, but I'd forgotten about the bubbles. Since I couldn't see what was happening on stage, I was kind of surprised!

Ok so for those who actually like musicals, it's a nice story. I think. Some dude falls into the ocean and meets a woman, or maybe I'm confusing it with Little Mermaid at DHS. Anyway the music is very nice, I'll give them that, love that music, and there are dancing jellyfishes. See ?

PIC_0048.jpg

When it was over and we came out Grumpy gave Jesse this look of pure hatred, and didn't say a word. She didn't have to.
Next on our agenda was the sea lions show with Clyde and SeaMore.

Now THAT show I like. Actually the best one is the "after dark" one they do at the end of the day. It mocks all the other shows and it is fall-off-your-seat hilarious! I especially love the awkward jumps and the big sea lion pretending to be a dolphin.

We saw the regular show that is always funny though !

DSC04563.jpg

DSC04566.jpg

A word of caution : before the show begins, while people are waiting and getting seated, they have this mime who is soooo mean. He follows people around and mocks them behind their back, like if you're walking slowly or if you're big he will make gestures behind you and everyone laughs. He's the reason why I insist on going VERY early to this show so he doesn't do that to me!!

There's a tiny little otter in the show who at some point is supposed to run through a little door inside the ship. I guess it missed the door or something and went straight into the wall with a thud. Awww poor thing !!! It recovered fast though. I love otters they're so cute - except they kind of tend to bite everyone. They're cute from afar though.

After the show we went to see & feed the sea lions for a while then decided to go feed ourselves instead.

PIC_0054.jpg

There is a somewhat "healthy" counter service that Grumpy & I remembered and eventually found, we all got the same thing which I think was a veggie wrap, with fries to share, and some type of cake. Wasn't bad but it was almost $50 for the 3 of us. Food at SW is not cheap - but it is better and healthier than most of WDW's CS.

At that point Grumpy was tired (she probably had beer with lunch to get over Allure) and Jesse wanted to go see the penguins. And I wanted to shop (yeah I know, shocking!).

So we dropped Grumpy on a bench to rest her feet and went our separate ways.

PIC_0099.jpg

I went to the shop and got a few things here & there, found me a shirt and I got some stuff for Jesse, she got herself a bear in July and they sell clothes for them so I picked up an army uniform.

Meanwhile she got to see her beloved penguins

PIC_0069.jpg

PIC_0077.jpg

We did a tour a few years back when we actually got to touch a penguin and she'd have done it again but neither Grumpy or I were interested, plus it does take up a big part of your day.

The last show on our agenda was Horizons which is the one with the dolphins, birds, and acrobats.

DSC04577.jpg

It's really a beautiful show, hate to admit it but even when I watch the videos on my computer I tend to get a little tear-eyed. Jesse & I love the music and we're always singing "into the blue- ooooooooooooooooooooooo" to make Grumpy nuts (not that it's hard).

Grumpy & I were more than ready to leave at that point. Jesse could pretty much live there, share a pool with Shamu and be happy forever. But we had seen Shamu Rocks and their fireworks these summer, Shamu Rocks was just okay and the fireworks show was pitiful so we didn't want to stay for that.
Besides we had Boma booked that night and I knew Jesse wouldn't want to miss that!

So we left Seaworld, stopping on the way to get some Dippin Dots for Jesse since this is one of the few ice creams she can eat (she can't have dairy). Actually we walked in front of the cart and she said "Man, I wish I could have some ice cream" and I remembered that the rainbow colored Dippin Dots are dairy free. We all shared one cup of them and it was yummy.

PIC_0155.jpg

We grabbed a cab, there were plenty of them waiting. One of the guys said something really naughty - and hilarious - to me, only it took me about 15mns to figure out what he REALLY meant... (BTW I've chosen to leave the more "adult" jokes out of this TR, let's just say there were many and they were bad. Seriously, we have such dirty minds, we shouldn't even be allowed around normal people :upsidedow).
We also stopped by Walgreens to pick up more bad stuff to bring home, and some juice/snacks for the room.

I think we were back at CSR around 6pm and we had plenty of time to rest and change since our ADR at Boma was around 9PM. We like getting a late dinner there, it's always busy way past 10PM and we never feel rushed.

No pics of that night though Boma didn't disappoint. We stopped by the gift shop and Jesse wanted to pick up a few things, AKL's gift shop is the BEST on property without a doubt. She wanted a sweatshirt but it was over $50 and too much money for her but I bought it behind her back & Grumpy gave it to her in January for her birthday.
Instead she picked up a bunch of little knick knacks, bracelets, pens, keyrings... I told her those things add up but she kept telling me they were cheap. Yeah right. She ended up spending over a hundred bucks & had to charge it on the room key!

We closed down the shop at 11PM and then went to find a bus. We got on a Downtown Disney one which stopped at the Lodge first, then Kidani. But at Kidani there were people who were going to the Lodge so the driver took them there. It only took a few mns so there was nothing to complain about. Then the driver started asking this couple where they were going and they said Old Key West. I just knew he was going to tell them he'd drop them off... and he did. Except he got lost and we went all around OKW slowwwlly without him stopping anywhere. :confused3
The ride from AKL to DTD is long to begin with, and Grumpy was getting upset because it was taking forever to drop these 2 people off, plus the driver never even asked us where we were going.
We finally ended up going to DTD and he told the couple he would drop them off after that, I'm thinking maybe he heard me & Grumpy talking... it was after midnight when we got to the Marketplace stop. Over an hour after leaving AKL. We were not very happy - well Jesse didn't care cause she fell asleep on the bus.

The good thing is that the CSR bus pulled right up and we were back in our room before 1am. It had been a loooooooong day and we decided to wake up late the next day and FINALLY go do what we do best : SHOPPING!!!!

Seriously, we have such dirty minds, we shouldn't even be allowed around normal people :upsidedow

Well, you know what they say: If you can't say something nice, come sit next to me!

Like everyone else, I'm so glad you're writing this! And now you've got me thinking about a SW day when we go this fall, since my three DDs have never been. :fish:

(BTW: mimes = creepy)

Thanks for the update!

Marina,

Glad to see you're finishing this TR up before starting on your new one!! Great pics! Your March trip must have gone VERY well since you're thinking of taking a trip with just you & Jesse ~~ although Grumpy will feel left out!

My DD was able to make it work so she's off to Paris next month! She's SO excited  The Eiffel Tower & Notre Dame are at the top of her list and then of course DLP!!! Her cousin has been living and studying in Paris for the past few months so he should be able to get her around much better than if she was on her own. Any tips??

Have a great weekend :) I hope things are going well for you.

(Gosh, I hate that I don't have a ticker at the moment......still working on that)

Loving the updates!

You are so pretty, even when playing dead. And Jesse had an awesome costume and Grumpy was adorable!

Also, I LOVE your Bon Jovi signature!!! You know I am a fan and he has a house in my town. That looks just awesome, so cool. Such an experience! I've never been in the pit for them!

Well, you know what they say: If you can't say something nice, come sit next to me!!

You got me here, I don't get it... you want me to talk dirty to you ?? :confused3:rotfl:

If they like animals I think they would enjoy it. They have a "kiddie" area too with games. I'm not allowed there anymore because I constantly win, here's the proof,

Photo0071.jpg

DSC04138.jpg

this is from July and it's Jesse's fault entirely, she left me alone in the arcade for 15mns. The bigger penguins are from other games that we both played at, but the smaller dozen or so are from those "grabbing" machines.

For the story, the first year Grumpy & I went to Orlando we had bought so much we had six bags full (back then they allowed you 3 checked in pieces of luggage) and we couldn't fit a single extra thing in there. We went back to Seaworld on our last day and I went to play in one of those machines that had HUGE Spongebob characters in it - Grumpy didn't want me to play, but I thought ok no one can win those, we're safe. Well I put a dollar in and won a giganormous Patrick plush. I thought she was gonna kill me. We ended up giving it to a kid who had watched us play. Since that day I am no longer allowed to play in these machines anywhere :sad1:.

More! More! :dance3: LOL! You are too twisted for color TV!

Coming soon :happytv:

Your March trip must have gone VERY well since you're thinking of taking a trip with just you & Jesse ~~ although Grumpy will feel left out!

Honestly the March trip was just okay. It was only Grumpy & me and I kinda missed having Jesse around. Grumpy is, well, very Grumpy when you ask her to do things that she doesn't like (such as going to stores for myself or doing rides that are not her own favorites).

Any tips??

Well for one thing I hope the weather gets better !! It's been pretty gloomy here & lots of rain in the evening. Should be better in a few weeks though. I hope your DD won't be too disappointed in DLP's size it's really tiny compared to WDW !
Crossing my fingers for you to have a ticker soon

I don't see the prettiness but thank you that's really sweet of you.
Also what do you mean playing dead ? (insert evil laugh) :lmao:

OMG do you want to come to Paris for a week & I go live in Bon Jovi's town instead ?? Seriously !!!
Being in the pit was awesome. I barely got trampled. I also took Grumpy to London to see them and we were not in the pit BUT we were front-row and I could have grabbed the guys feet if I'd wanted (didn't do it, security guy was scary). Grumpy's all Bon Jovied now and she loves to sing "We were involved to follow" (yea she's not quite there yet with the lyrics) :rockband:.

You got me here, I don't get it... you want me to talk dirty to you ?? :confused3:rotfl:

:rotfl2:

For the record, NO!!!!!!!!

It means if you have a particularly nasty comment (not necessarily dirty) please share it! It (and the "too twisted for color TV" comment) is from Steel Magnolias.

How on earth do you win all those prizes? I'm awful at those games. They would be a huge budget buster for me.

I am glad that you restarted your TR. I always find your TRs so entertaining. I was laughing out loud when you rolled into the wall. :rotfl2: Love it. And the SW update - priceless. I have actually never been there, so I enjoyed hearing about each show. I think the jellyfish lady looks a bit like Lady Gaga.

Keep it coming!

Oh, I LOVE the lyrics shift! Love it! My mom loves Bon Jovi and we went last summer! She would love to be in the pit!

Um, yeah. I will totally switch! Once you drive by his house, it's not like there is much else to do, you know? :rotfl: I mean I love my town but he doesn't go pick up milk or anything. Which is a real shame! i would so change my grocery store for him!

However, if he is super duper bored and home he goes out in town. But you have to catch that. I never ever run into him. :sad2: But I used to see Heather Locklear back in her Richie Sambora days and Bruce Springsteen shows up places. Him, I see. But the rule is you can't fawn, which just sucks! However, YOU could fawn! :lmao:

Had I known that you were doing another TR, I would have been here sooner. I love your TR's. Please don't ever stop doing them. I am glad to see that you had a good time with Jesse. And glad that she is starting to like WDW and leave the hotel room.:rotfl2:

Got a bit carried away planning our next trip and I kinda put the TR on the back burner :) If this trip DOES happen, it will make one heck of a good TR!

That day was intended to be our "slow down" day. We woke up late, went to the pool a little bit, and then got dressed to go to the Prime Outlets. We knew we'd need at least two trips, especially since this one was going to be short. We had a dining reservation and a date with Jiminy and Tinkerbell that night.

We decided to take the bus to Downtown Disney to save a little bit on cab fare, and have lunch at Earl's. Grumpy felt left out because she wasn't with us when Jesse & I tried it. We are creatures of habit, so we got the same thing we got that first night while Grumpy decided to give their Holiday sandwiches a try. I think it's turkey, stuffing, gravy and cranberries. She seemed to really love it.

DSC04580.jpg

We took the time to take pics in front of one of the Halloween displays and then we were on our way to the Shopping Mecca of Orlando aka Prime Outlets :)

DSC04581.jpg

We hit one side of the mall (it's huge), went to about a dozen stores, and about 4hrs later we were beat and decided to head back to Disney. Coach was a disappointment, none of the bags were that nice. We knew we'd be back for the rest of the shops so we hoped we'd find one later.

I think we were back at CSR with only a couple hours to spare before our reservation at Crystal Palace. This is Jesse's favorite restaurant because she loves Tigger and Eeyore. Grumpy & I love the place too, I think we went there on every single trip so far.

The buffet was nice, not fancy by any means, but everything tasted very good. I did something really stupid, because there was a girl and her boyfriend at the next table and the girl, who was about my size, was wearing an awesome denim skirt and I kept looking at it because it looked so nice. Then Jesse kicked me under the table as only Jessica can do (had a bruise there for a week) and told me to stop staring. I hadn't even realized I was doing it. If Jesse noticed, then the girl must have, too, and I really felt like an idiot.
Thankfully the characters arrived, we offered to took several pics for the couple so they could be together, and if I offended them I hope they forgave me!!

Jesse's blushing with Tigger :rotfl:

DSC04593.jpg

After dinner we tried to get a spot for Main Street Electrical Parade but we were too late. We saw a bit of it from behind other people. Grumpy said she hated the music (it's very repetitive, which is something I *love*!!) and couldn't wait for the parade to end. I took some pics from afar and thought they turned rather nice.

DSC04602.jpg

DSC04611.jpg

After we were allowed to cross Main Street we grabbed our usual spot for Wishes. That used to be my "secret spot" and it's definitely not secret anymore but we were able to find some space and had a great view. Jesse had never agreed to go to that spot before, because you have to stand the whole time, but even she admitted it was worth waiting and standing for.

DSC04619.jpg

DSC04624.jpg

You can see Tinkerbell's fly really well in Jesse's video :

Later, Jesse tried in vain to pull the sword (she hates that pic and likes to say that she looks more like she's cooking noodles than pulling a sword :lmao:)

DSC04626.jpg

We saw PhilarMagic and rode Small World. I love how closer the boats are to the dolls in SM since they've reopened the attraction! Tried to take pics but as usual the dolls move too fast for my camera so they're all blurry. Grumpy wanted to call it a night at that point but we insisted on riding Haunted Mansion and Pirates of the Caribbean again before we left.

As we were leaving and walking towards Main St, I told the girls I'd meet them at the town square because I wanted to shop a little bit and they were both walking like snails. First I went into the Confectionnary and bought us all some treats, a peanut butter cup for Jesse, strawberry for Grumpy and my favorite Mickey gingerbread cookie. Yummmmmmm

DSC04733.jpg
DSC04748.jpg
DSC04742.jpg

They weren't there when I came out of the Confectionnary so I went into the Emporium to buy myself a Vinylmation or two. They met me inside the Emporium and we shopped a little bit, then we started hearing the MSEP music again.. and realized the 2nd parade had started. It's starting to become "our thing", we get stuck behind MSEP. We did the exact same thing in July. Grumpy was in agony :rotfl:

In July, we saw the most awful and awfully cute thing happen - the rabbit from Alice in Wonderland fell !!!! I think he tripped over one of his own paws, and down he went. A character handler was there in seconds, helped him up and walked him to an exit next to the barber shop. There were little kids asking if he was ok and he gave them a thumbs up. Poor bunny :( I never saw him coming back out so I guess the rest of the parade was rabbit-less that night.

So anyway back to the present, well, back to October, anyway. It was back to CSR for us, and we went to the big pool since they close the quiet pools at 9PM (one of the only things we don't like at CSR).

We had planned on going to DHS the next day, Grumpy hates that park and asked us to change our plans. Nope. We told her she didn't have to come, but we wanted to go and she could meet us there for Fantasmic. I am glad we got to go, as it would be our last full day in the parks this trip, thanks to Grossfest, 2010, otherwise known on this board as 'Ohana.

OMG...that gingerbread cookie was soo good! we tried putting chocolate on my mom's gingerbread cookies this christmas but it was not the same! LOL!

It's NEVER the same !!! I always say I'm going to bring some back but somehow, some way, they never make it to the plane :rolleyes1

And you did all that in your "slow down" day? :rotfl: WOW!

Well, we didn't do that much
