Let this be on the record : I did NOT instigate this trip... Complete :)

It's Halloween !!!!!
My favorite holiday EVER.

I couldn't put my MNSSHP outfit again today because I'd tossed it in the trash after the party, so instead I decided to go discreet with this shirt :

bonjovihalloweenshirt02.jpg

Jesse decided to go with a basic black shirt to sort of soften the blow...

We had originally planned on having breakfast together at Cape May, or possibly lunch at Sci-Fi, but we woke up way too late for that. I was sleeping so soundly that Jesse tried to re-create the cookie package attack of that other morning but I slept through it.

So instead we all had lunch together at Pepper Market. We were on the DDP so it was a good use of a CS credit to begin with, and I ended up having my meal comped 'cause it took so long to make it. The other 2 persons who were waiting with me also had their meal comped. We didn't ask, the lady making the salads just told us she wouldn't charge us. Cool.
Grumpy had bbq ribs which she loved, Jesse had a veggie burger and I had a caesar salad with shrimp. We also got a huge cookie and a cinnamon roll as desserts that Grumpy brought back to the room.

After lunch we parted ways. Grumpy went back to the room and got herself ready for an afternoon of swimming and tanning. Jesse & I headed to Hollywood Studios. We waited quite a while for a bus, then got sick of waiting and took a cab. What we didn't know is that cabs can't go to the entrance of a park (I don't think we've ever taken a cab TO a park before).
It drops you at the very back of the parking lot and we had to walk all the way to the entrance. I would have rather waited another 15mns at CSR for a bus. Lesson learned!

The heat was brutal that day and by the time we reached the front entrance of the park I was already sweating like a hog. I insist on wearing jeans in Disney. My legs are not legs, they're telephone poles, so I'd rather keep em hidden thankyou. In August it was something like 100° and I still wore jeans. The two days my sister convinced me to borrow a pair of her cropped pants, it rained like crazy. :headache:

But anyway, we'd made it and were inside Disney's Hollywood Studios.

5_PIC_0001.jpg

On our agenda we had : Indiana Jones (which Jesse said she didn't do the last time she was there with Alex), the stunt car show, and Backlot Tour. Then we were to meet Grumpy around 5.30PM at Tower of Terror, so she & I could ride before going to see Fantasmic.

First things first, I wanted to get us FPs for Tower of Terror. I told Jesse she didn't have to come with me but she didn't mind so we both went.

6_PIC_0005.jpg

7_PIC_0013.jpg

After that we made our way to the Indiana Jones show. Now I have zero interest in Indiana Jones. That day I was just coming along with Jesse 'cause it's not that fun being in the parks alone but we really hadn't planned on doing anything I liked.

I hadn't planned on falling asleep though. I remember some dude running away from a big cardboardy ball and then the next thing I know Jesse was shaking me and saying "You're missing the hot muscley guy!!!!" and I realized I'd been snoozing. So I'm adding Indiana Jones to the list of Disney attractions I fell asleep at (so far we have La Nouba, Ellen's Universe of Energy, American Adventure, and Indiana Jones).

So the show ends and we come out and I'm trying to play it cool "Yeah that was a nice show, very entertaining". Jesse is like, "Oh yeah ? So what happened with the snake??".
Snake ?? What snake ?? THINK, someone on the DIS must have mentioned a snake at Indiana Jones!!! Nope, I got nothing...

Instead I bribed Jesse with a cookie at Writer's Stop. We walked there, looked at the closed Star Wars attraction, and then went to get our cookies.

8_DSC04753.jpg

The mickey-shaped one was mine and it was a shortbread kind of cookies and should be illegal in all 50 states. Just sayin'.

Next on our list, Backlot Tour, or as Jesse calls it, Parklot Tour.
On our way there I noticed that they already had some of the Osborne Lights up. It was only October 31st!!

10_PIC_0044.jpg

The wait time was supposed to be 5mns but it easily took half an hour just to get to the cars. We were waiting outside and it was so hot, people kept on giving up and leaving. I was worried we'd miss the Stunt show because the last one was at 4.30PM and it was already past 3.30. The attractions are right next to each other though.

Jesse enjoyed it. I love Catastrophe canyon, and I made sure I was on the left side when we got into the cars so I'd get wet. No luck. Close, but barely felt a drop :(

I'd done Backlot Tour before, on our very first trip to the World in 2006. Not much has changed. Jesse enjoyed it but I didn't recognize any of the things they showed us, and besides Catastrophe Canyon I found the tour to be seriously boring. But she liked it, so, fine. She likes anything that she can take pictures of :)

When it was over we literally had 10mns before we had to be at Lights, Motors, Action. I was actually very close to peeing my pants then, so I told Jesse to meet me out front, and let her take her pictures.

I had time to pee AND buy myself a Vinylmation AND wait around AND go get us some cokes and a corndog for me AND go back to the exit by the time she came out. Girl loves her pictures...

12_PIC_0065.jpg

11_PIC_0060.jpg

13_PIC_0084.jpg

Phewwwwww I didn't know how far the stunt show place actually was from its entrance. Took forever to get there. We were sweating like crazy and hoping we could still get a seat. We did but it was way up there and very crowded. I hate eating in public so I kept my corndog for later.

The show was actually pretty impressive, I hadn't expected to like it since I know nothing about cars (can't tell a Hundai from a Porsche). Turns out the show was originally done for Disneyland Paris then brought over to Florida. Well, what do you know, we Frenchies can export stuff to WDW. Cool.

14_DSC04756.jpg

15_PIC_0091.jpg

My favorite part was the guy on fire. I have a thing for setting people on fire, well not by my own hand but if someone is willing to do the job, I'm willing to watch. :rotfl2:

If you think the mass of people exiting Fantasmic is bad, don't go to LMA... Seriously it was madness.

16_PIC_0092.jpg

We let most of the people out while I munched on my corndog with mustard THEN realized I was supposed to ride TOT with Grumpy less than an hour later. Oh boy. This is only the 2nd corndog I've had in my life and I have no idea what they feel like when they come back up. And I really wasn't looking forward to finding out.

We ended up taking almost an hour to reach ToT, we were beat because of the heat and walked like snails. We stopped on the way at the Muppets store so I could trade the Vinylmation I'd gotten earlier.

17_DSC04766.jpg

The lady asked me what color I was hoping for, I said pink or purple and she gently motioned to one of the numbers on the box. I got me a purple Carousel Vinylmation. Score!!! Oh, for those who don't know, you can trade your Vinylmation. Most stores have a little case on the counter that have 3 of them that you can pick from if you see something you like. Or, they pull out that big box with a bunch of numbers, you pick a number and you get the one that's behind it. I never quite got the pin trading fever, but I love trading Vinylmation. Those I can display at home and they look really cute!

So anyway we ended up meeting Grumpy in front of TOT around 6PM. They had just opened the doors for Fantasmic so we didn't have much time, we gave our purses to Jesse, got our FPs and went to ride.

I was so nervous about puking that darn corndog! Plus I knew Grumpy would get mad at me for eating it since I'd already had lunch... but everything went fine. THANK GOD. We were in an elevator in about 10mns, I screamed like a lunatic, and all was well in the world.

When we came back to Jesse she swore she heard me scream and could pick my scream anywhere. I do have quite a high-pitched, ear-splitting scream but it's not like noone else screams on ToT!!

There were plenty of seats left for Fantasmic. We weren't front & center but we were in the middle section about halfway up. While we waited we told Grumpy what we had done, and she told us she'd basically gone from the Dig Site pool, to the quiet pool, then back to the Dig Site all afternoon :) That's like her dream vacation. Pool, sun, pool, sun, a little bit of pool, and some sun.

Jesse'd never seen Fantasmic! and she lovvvvvved it. She's a sucker for characters. It's at the top of her list for our next trip, especially since her camera died again right before the show and she didn't get to take any videos.

We had an 8.40PM reservation at Cape May that night and we knew we'd probably be late because Fantasmic was at 7.30, so we didn't get out of the theater before 8.20. To make matters worse the line for the boats to BC/YC/BW was huge, so instead we walked to where the cab had dropped us off that morning and hoped we'd find one. There was one, the guy was on break, but when we told him where we were going he said fine and that he wouldn't turn his meter on and we could give him whatever. We ended up giving him $10.

We were expecting Cape May to turn us down since we were so late (it was about 9PM when we got there) but they didn't even bat an eyelid. We got seated, then Jesse & I excused ourselves and went to clean up in the restrooms. We'd been in the sun all day and weren't really "dinner ready". I came back to the table first. 10mns later Jesse still wasn't there so Grumpy sent me back to the restroom to make sure she was okay.
Turned out she'd found some washcloths and decided to give herself what I can only call a sponge bath... :scared1: Seriously, my sister's weird.

Dinner was great. It's a wonder crabs aren't extinct yet with the quantity of crab legs they go through at Cape May. I mostly stuck to the lobster tortellini which is my favorite dish ever. They may as well just give me the whole dish and I won't have to bother coming back to the buffet. We were too full for dessert but our server (who was an older lady we'd already had the pleasure to meet at breakfast once) boxed up some cookies and other treats for us to bring back to the room. That was really sweet of her and we made sure to leave her a good tip.

Jesse & Grumpy had wine with dinner and Grumpy was a bit tipsy but Jesse can easily drink a whole bottle of wine without any side effects. She's so lucky. I'm halfway dead drunk after a shot of tequila...

We took a bus to Downtown Disney, spent some time in the shops (we had very little time before they closed so we didn't buy anything) and then got on a bus to CSR.

We broke a rule that night and went to swim in the quiet pool just a little tiny bit after 9PM (what ? 1AM is only a couple hours after 9PM, right ?). We didn't make any noise though, and didn't get caught. The big pool was just too far and we were beat.

Had to keep some of our strength for tomorrow as we were going back to the Outlets, and this time, no joking around, we were there to do some serious shopping !!! All we had to do is be back on time for our 6PM ADR at 'Ohana. We were really looking forward to this as we'd had a fabulous time there in August.
Well, that meal was definitely unforgettable...

Holy crap, how did you update this TOMORROW?? The French are truly amazing!!

Gotta love time zones. I did a double-take when I saw the update date!

Holy crap, how did you update this TOMORROW?? The French are truly amazing!!

Aww shoot !! I usually make sure it's not "tomorrow" yet before I update the title and tonight I forgot. Well I shall go back in my time capsule and fix that ! :rotfl:

Unforgettable meal, huh? Ohoh..

Yeah, ohoh is the right word

That day started a little too roughly for my taste.
I was sound asleep, but Grumpy and SewingKit, I mean, Jesse, were already up. Apparently someone opened a pack of cookies or something, the noise scared the bejesus out of me, and I jumped from the bed, yelling "qu'est ce que c'est????!!!!!!!!!" ("what is it??"). Well, I TRIED to jump from the bed, but see I was sleeping on the side that is closer to the wall, plus I was rolled into my sheet, and so when I tried to "jump" I ended up getting tangled in the sheet and slamming myself against the wall.

:rotfl:

If you hadn't said it was cookies, I would have continued to wonder if it was one of those evil bags of SunChips. They have changed the bags now...the bags were earth friendly (yay!) but made *the loudest noise in the universe* if you just brushed them with fingertips, let alone make the mistake of opening them!

Yeah! Thanks for the update!!
I'm glad your sister is enjoying herself! That alone must have made the trip sooo much easier (and more fun) for you and your mom.

Those cookies look so yummy!!! I'm drinking my morning tea and a Mickey Gingerbread cookie would really hit the spot right now....I guess I will have to settle for my oatmeal :sad2:

I am all caught up with you now. :goodvibes Can't wait to hear what happened at Ohana's. I think.......:rotfl:

Your HS day was one super busy day. Sounds like so much fun! Jesse got some great pics, Sounds like your timing on everything was perfect.

Lunch looked yummy and lobster tortellini sounds delish.

So what the heck happened at Ohana?

Great update!! I don't think I could eat a corn dog and ride ToT! Looking forward to more and hearing about your next trip!!

Melissa

Not to brag, but being a thrill ride junky I could eat while riding ToT popcorn:: if they let me that's it :rotfl: But a full day of shopping :scared1: well, that's a different story :lmao:

I can't wait for the 'Ohanna disaster chapter!

I have to say your TR title caught me so here I am. Laughing so hard I think my co worker is ready to call the loony bin. Your report is hilarious and I am only on the first full day in Discovery Cove.

I LOVE that your mom & sis busted on you with the whole pregnancy thing – you did ask for it, right?

And I am very curious about the groping incident so I will have to look for your past TRs.

I can picture your mom, stopping dead still when the realization hit her that she could get free unlimited beer. (Its making me even more interested in Discovery Cove!) Does she know you’ve shared her beer induced sprawl with the world? LOL

Oh – they DO have mini van cabs in NYC, I’ve seen them. Not a lot but they do have them.

How funny that she “stole” a poster. I have found that the cast members, when asked, can be pretty generous in allowing you to do things that you ought not to as long as they “don’t see you” doing it.

If you can’t ell I have a list open that I am writing comments in as I go through your report. I dint' want to quote everything. I am just laughing so hard at all of your descriptions.

I LOVE how Grumpy thought your “stupid treats” were a good substitute for lunch!:rotfl2:

I have called mousekeeping for a sewing kit before, and trust me, even with a plain old Pennsylvania “accent” you have to ask about a dozen times, and include the words needle and thread before they seem to understand the concept. Strange!!:confused3

The picture of you three is hilarious – you & you sis are all scary and gory and Grumpy is all this sweet little lady in a witches dress. Totally hilarious!!

In addition to a fishmagnet you are apparently a tall person in front of you magnet, too, huh? not only blocking the parade but the show at SW as well?
:lmao:

The cookie packaging alarm ....too much...:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I am subbing to see the rest of your escapades. Thanks for sharing!

LOVE the Bon Jovi tshirt! So fun!

Also, those are the cutest cookies - those two Mickey head ones. I have never ever seen them! I need to get some, clearly. I love how you photograph the food, especially the treats, it's so cute and sweet. I eat the same junk at WDW, you really eat far better than I do. Me: popcorn, crappy packaged thing when starving. You: dainty candy, adorable cookie. I'm doing something wrong!

Hey, Jon is opening "community restaurant" in my town. It's a place where you can pay for your meal, or another person's meal (who can't afford it) or if you can't afford to pay, you can volunteer there or another local place in exchange for a good meal. Like a soup kitchen but for everyone - the haves and have nots. Anyhoo, I think it's great idea, and I'll let you know when it's opening. We are not that far from NYC, and you could come stalk him here! :lmao:

Ready for the Ohana disaster!

I need to find some of these to get Jesse back the next time !! Much easier than the water balloons I had in mind.:rotfl:

Yeah! Thanks for the update!!

How was the oatmeal LOL did it taste like a gingerbread cookie ??
Yes it really made the whole trip better, especially since we all got along great and it was awesome not having to drag anybody along. If anything, she was dragging us !!

I am all caught up with you now. :goodvibes Can't wait to hear what happened at Ohana's. I think.......:rotfl:

You may change your mind later :)

Your HS day was one super busy day. Sounds like so much fun! Jesse got some great pics, Sounds like your timing on everything was perfect.

So what the heck happened at Ohana?

It was a slow day for us, hey, we were in bed at 2AM that's early :) :)
'Ohana story coming up soon, you may wish you never knew what happened.. Just warning ya'll !

Great update!! I don't think I could eat a corn dog and ride ToT! Looking forward to more and hearing about your next trip!!

I don't recommend it :)

When you find the groping incident, you'll understand that Grumpy was a witch DRESSED AS a sweet little lady !!!! Don't let the clueless looks fool you, she's evil like us !

Girl, did you miss the corndog thing ?? LOL I eat junk all the time when Grumpy isn't watching :) I'm a baaaaaaaaad girl too.

Gotta love Jonny Boy, he has great timing. I'm going to need a "community restaurant" soon since no one seems to want to hire me for ANYTHING.
Can you volunteer to wash dishes, or wash Jon Bon Jovi, in exchange for a corndog ? I may take a while to actually get there (buses take forever to cross that darn ocean) but it sounds like it's worth it :)

Thanks for reading and commenting guys. I love reading everything. Today especially since it was a lousy, lousy day. Had a job interview with a guy who basically destroyed me for 2 hours. The way he talked to me, and the things he said, made it seem like he thought I was barely able to read and write. Not my best day.

:sad1:I'm sorry about your job interview....thats stinks and can certainly ruin your day....I hope the DIS helps you feel better

The oatmeal did NOT taste like Gingerbread
I might just have to console myself with a Gingerbread muffin tomorrow for breakfast :rotfl2:

Can't wait to hear about your time at Ohana's!

So sorry about the job interview. I hope that you will be able to find a job that you enjoy and one where they value you soon. And when you are having a bad day, please know that you have many fans that think you are a brilliant and adorable. You are a great writer and have a wonderful sense of humor. Plus, you have a Grumpy and Jesse.

Marina,

Sorry you had such a bad day :sad2: Remember that we all love you here! Hopefully the right job for you comes along very soon. Sending good thoughts your way. . . .

Have a good weekend! :)

Argh! And that was the job interview? I'd skip that place forever... I rather work for a bad salary than work in a bad environment.

Don't give up!

Thank yall for the support. It really annoyed me to no end. I was supposed to email the guy as a follow-up to the interview, but it's that way : either I ignore him, or I get really nasty. So far I'm taking the "ignoring" option but if he asks for it, he's gonna get it. I'm reallllllllly nasty when I want to be :)

Speaking of nasty, time to get to 'Ohana :)

Warning : this chapter is going to give a whole new meaning to the expression : TMI (too much information). It's going to be nasty. Seriously. Gross. You've been warned.

Serious Shopping planned for today. We have done the basics last time but we have a lot more to do today ! We decided to go to DTD again, and get there by 11 so we could get lunch at Wolfgang Puck's.
We got there a little early and we just walked around, looked at some shops and took pics.

Photo0216.jpg

Photo0214.jpg

Photo0220.jpg

Jessi had salmon, Grumpy had a veggie pizza and I had my usual, the chinois chicken salad. Grumpy & I got creme brulees for desserts and they were delish but way too big so we ended up splitting one. Jesse can't have dairy so she got a cookie instead.

Oh, and I almost forgot... I shamed my mother. Wolfgang Puck's is a CS but they bring your plates to you and the server refills your drinks as well. Our waiter had been really nice, and I wanted to give him a tip but he had his hands full of plates so I asked him if he had a pocked anywhere I could put the money into. He said "Oh yeah, I have one right there" - and shook his butt. Well me being me, I proceeded to put the bills in his back pocket. Deep enough so that they wouldn't fall out. The guy was hysterical going ooooh ahhh oh yeah right there and "Okay, you, you come back anytime, but next time I'm not wearing pants!!!!".

My mom was horrified, "you stuck your fingers in his back pocket" and I was like BUT HE SAID TO DO IT!!! And it's not like he ran away or anything. Still. She was ashamed :rotfl:
Doesn't take much to shock Grumpy.

Off to the Outlets we go. I can't tell you how many or which stores we went into, too many of them. I know Jesse spent about an hour at Mark Ecko. Grumpy probably went to Guess, Bebe & Esprit. We got gifts at Guess Accessories and the Character Outlet, and stocked up on bathing supplies at Bath & Body Works. Jesse went into a store to buy a shirt for Alex and came out with 6 polos for herself. Went to Levi's for my dad and Timberland. Grumpy finally found herself a couple Coach purses she liked.
I bought 21 pairs of earrings at Claire's (what?? it's buy 2 get 1 free so technically I only bought 14!). I pretty much only buy my earrings at Claire's because I lose about a pair a week, so I'm not spending any more than $5 on them anymore. Grumpy has bought me the same Guess hoops at least twice a year since 2006, usually they last about a month before I lose one or both of them. It's hopeless.

Soon we couldn't even go in the stores together because we had too many bags. One had to sit out with all the bags while 2 others went in the shops. At one point I was sitting on a bench waiting for Grumpy & Jesse to come out of Wilson's Leather and this lady looked at me and told her husband "Omg look how many bags this woman has!!!". :rotfl2:

At 4PM (we have been there 4 hours) I remind Grumpy that our ADR for 'Ohana is at 6PM. She says that's too soon, we won't even have time to rest before dinner. She says let's just skip it but Jesse loved it last time and really wants to go. So do I. Then Grumpy says she wants to go too but isn't done shopping. So I called Disney Dining to see if they could move our ADR, hopefully around 8. The only time available for 9.15. I took it.:sad2:

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :scared1:

We ended up leaving the outlets around 6.30PM. The trunk of the cab was full !! I started wondering how we'd manage to bring this all back.

Back at CSR Grumpy & Jesse went to the pool and I tried to pack a little bit, then we all got ready to go to 'Ohana. I don't remember where we switched, so I think we may have opted for a cab that night.

Our ADR was at 9.15 and I had hoped we'd be seated by 9.30 so we would get a chance to see Hallowishes at 9.30. No luck. We sat in the lounge and waited, and saw a bit of the fireworks through the window there. We didn't see much.
After the fireworks ended we were finally seated, it was after 9.45. We were starving and getting a bit tired of waiting, too. It looks like we were the very last party to be seated.

There were 3 of us and they put us at this huge round table for 8. We spread out around the table so we could pass the dishes around. The salad was great. I don't eat wings, neither does Jesse, I think my mom had one but didn't comment on it. I had a wonton (they were one of my favorites last time) and it was very greasy, and lukewarm at best. Yuck.
We were right under the A/C vent and soon enough we were FREEZING. I almost went to buy a sweatshirt but didn't want to spend $50 to wear for an hour.

The food went from blah to worse. Our noodles were lukewarm, slimy and tasted like they had been reheated in a microwave. The veggies were just cold. Jesse's a vegetarian and they make a sort of "tower" of cold noodles with vegetable tempuras. This time the "tower" was falling apart and the tempura was stone cold and mushy inside. I tasted one and it was horrible.
We were brought skewers of chicken and beef with only a few pieces left on them and had one piece each. I'm so glad I didn't eat more. Again everything was cold and fatty, and cold fat .
We waited forever for the shrimp to come but when they did, they were piping hot and it certainely was a welcomed change.

Now I don't know what got into me that night because I never tease my sister about her personal preference (Alex is her girlfriend,IYKWIM). But when the chef came to discuss her dairy allergy with her, the Chef was a young, veryyyy pretty woman and my sister actually blushed when she talked to her. Oh I never let her forget that!!!
"Oh Juuuuuuuuuuuuulieeeee, you're so prettttyyyyyyyyyy!!!!"
"Juuuuuuuuuuulie, I'm allergic to daiiiiiiiiirrrrrryyyyyyy oh yes Pretty Juuuulie"

(I'm keeping it PG for you guys - it definitely was NOT)

Grumpy was in stitches and asking me to please stop, we were still freezing, they brought us the dessert which we don't really like (no flames, please!!!). Pretty Julie made Jesse a dairy-free brownie sundae which of course brought on a whole 'nother load of Pretty Julie and her Pretty Brownie jokes.

About half-way through appetizers we had become the very last clients in the place. It was awkward. Our waitress was super nice and told us over & over to take our time, offered us seconds etc... but it was still mega weird to be there alone. They were setting the tables up for breakfast. One of the other servers brought us leis and that was pretty sweet! One thing I'll give to 'Ohana that night, the staff was great and never made us feel rushed.

After we left we stopped by Captain Cook's so Jesse could be dairy-free, egg-free, nut-free cookies. We hadn't found them at CSR. For some reason I thought they were named Skivvies. :rotfl:
We also got an apple. Went down to the bus stop and somehow, someway, we ended up putting the apple on Grumpy's head and playing William Tell.

Photo0241.jpg

We took a bus from the Poly to DTD Pleasure Island (no choice, everything else was closed) and then from Pleasure Island back to CSR. I started feeling icky on the CSR bus. Can't really describe the feeling, not pukey, not the other thing, just... icky.

Everything was okay though until in the middle of the night I woke up because my stomach was actually hurting. Went to the bathroom and I am not kidding you guys my belly was visibly distended. Now I'm a size 22 on GOOD days so my belly usually is distended to some extent - but not that much. And it actually hurt to touch. I ended up taking a warm bath because that's usually all it takes to get me over a stomach ache.

Not that time. At some point I must have gotten back to bed and slept but the next morning I felt awful. Got out of bed, Grumpy took one look at me and said you're swollen like a balloon. Yep. Stomach started making noises that it has never, EVER done before in my life. Jesse thought it was hilarious that she could hear it from the sink area when I was at the other end of the room.. Me, not so much.

And I was feeling pukey now too so I told them to go off & do whatever but I was going to pop a couple Ibuprofens and try to get rid of whatever that thing was. They went to the pool.

Well not even an hour later they are back and Jesse's feeling like puking too. Grumpy is not that bad but she lays down and says her stomach feels weird. Now Grumpy's stomach should be studied for prototypes or something... she thinks expiration dates are for wusses and never gets sick.

So we are all laying down feeling awful and I'm still having a rock concert inside my belly. We fell asleep and at some point they woke me up to say they were going to give the pool another try.

It started to rain like crazy soon after they left and the CMs closed down the pools. They got stuck there for about two hours !!! The played at the arcade, had a drink at the pool bar, and once the rain stopped they got to swim a little. Then it started to rain again and they decided enough was enough and they came back to the room.

So I had been by myself for about 3-4 hours and had been, hmm, how can I say this, letting myself go:rolleyes1 during that time. Jesse opened the door to the room and yelled EWWWWWWWWWWWWWW and said no way could we keep the door closed. She actually wouldn't even stay in. Grumpy & her brought the little leather chairs outside, propped the door open and stayed outside looking at the rain while the room aired itself out.

I kept sleeping and hurting and doing other lovely things for most of the afternoon and evening. Jesse & Grumpy went to have dinner at Pepper Market and Grumpy brought me back some kids Maalox from the gift shop. Despite being very much Pooh-sized I can't handle most of adults' medecine. Ibuprofen is okay, but give me one Advil and you'll send me in a deep sleep for several hours. Yeah I'm weird... like that's new !
They had tried to get me some kind of soup but all they could find was some kind of western soup with peppers which was really NOT a good thing for me that night! The lady at the Cafe Rix asked why they needed plain soup and noticed Grumpy's Maalox box and Grumpy said her daughter was sick. Which was true but I guess they thought it was a "kid" daughter. The lady gave Grumpy several packs of teas, and told Grumpy to call the front desk if they need anything.

The tea did help and so did the Maalox but not in a way that I expected. Disgusting. The reason why I can't even think of ever going back to 'Ohana because every time I think of 'Ohana I remember that half-hour spent in the bathroom after I took the Maalox.:sick::sick:
But at least my belly was no longer a rehearsing place for Tico Torres.

The whole day had gone by and I hadn't even got out of the room. Heck I barely got out of bed. I was so disappointed to lose a WHOLE day like that. We'd missed Illuminations and I wanted to cry !!! A trip without Illuminations??? We had an ADR at Cali Grill the day after so it would be either that or Illuminations.
Jesse tried to make me feel better by saying that it had rained on and off all day anyway, which was true. As a matter of fact it had rained pretty much all evening with very few breaks. I know we wouldn't have waited outside in the rain for the show. So, it wasn't such a big loss. But I definitely didn't want to waste another day.

Whatever happened, the next day, I *would* go to Epcot!
For better... or for worse.

Yikes, so sorry you were sick. What a bummer!
But a great update nonetheless
