The scale is headed back down to 190 again. Might have made it there yesterday, but I got so caught up in things that I forgot to keep up my water. Oh well.
Yesterday was pretty good. I got some important GS done in the morning. Then I worked on it for the rest of the day. It was one of thos organization things. I decided to put everyone in a spreadsheet (all three towns) to help me keep better track of leaders, troops, numbers, years of service for recognition, girls who have left and why, etc. The sad thing is setting things like that up always take so long, but the good thing is that it saves TONS of time later when you need to look stuff up. I am supposed to have a Registrar on my team that keeps all this info, but don't. Hopefully, now that this is done, I can recruit someone and all they have to do is mainly keep up on the current info and a few other simple tasks. Recruiting is so much easier when you know a job and know how much time it willl take someone.
Anyway. When I wasn't doing GS, I was getting some exercise! DS and I did a quick walk up to the Homecoming parade. I pulled him in the wagon. Watched the paraded and then went to pick up DD7 from school, but the paraded ended early and school had at least another 1/2 hr. Well on the way there we saw a gathering of DH's family (this branch of the family is very very large and are always doing things together - all 5 generations). DS and I stopped to chat a bit and the next thing I knew, I was ushered into the house to join them from an "after parade snacks/pre-game meal". It was really nice and the short time we were there we had a good time. DH's aunt can make anyone feel welcome and is concerned that our children need to know their cousins in town. She is right and we don't try to keep them away (all of his family is great, you will never find nicer, well educated people), but we just don't want to "intrude" and since his dad passed away a few years ago we just aren't sure if we are imposing on other family. But now there is a standing invitation to watch Homecoming parades at his cousins house and stay for food in years to come. It feels really good.
Enough of that. DS and I then walked to get DD7 and went home. I figure that I did a good 20 minute walk. More exercise than I would have gotten if I drove. I am actually enjoying walking around for errands.
Yesterday's food:
Breakfast: cream of wheat & hot tea
Am snack: ? I can't remember, but it was something healthy.
Lunch: 1 Thin Mint, steak (left over from the other night). Wasn't in the mood for anything else.
PM snack: 1 deviled egg, 1 chip w/dip, 1/4 c. 7 layer salad, 1 piece coffee cake (this was at the family's house, I think I managed through all the food quite well. Would have been different if I was hungry) Had a thin mint later.
Supper: salad w/ham & cheese and 1 thin mint
Actually the day was pretty good for food, but I need to get rid of those cookies. The problem is that DS ripped open the box and I set them in my office which is where I took them away from him.
Better get going. Today is the dance and I need to get that dresss fixed up and grab a boutineer. DH is concerned that this is a date. We are taking her and she is meeting her friends but I know that the boy she likes is going to give her flowers so I invited him over to the house for pictures and then he will drive to the dance himself. Sounds odd and if it weren't for the punishment it would be different. BUT, I don't want the flower giving to happen at the dance and then have her think she needs to hide them when she gets home. After all, we already know that she will spend time with him and her other friends at the dance, might as well acknowledge that and not make this a stressed memory. After all, it is not like he is a terrible kid.
So anyway, dress and hair is what I am doing today. Then I also need to figure out what food to take to a family reunion tomorrow and how much research I really want to bring with for family to see.
Everyone have a good day!
