Does anyone know if we can still use leftover days on a child's php if the child now needs adult admission?? Do we pay the difference?

Just go to guest services before you enter the park the first day and they will upgrade the leftover days and or plus options to an adult pass. They will not charge you but the child must be present and the dates have to make sense to the CM. They will have a record as to when the pass was last used. Took my friend about 5 minutes to do this for her son at Epcot.

If the child is only 10, just use them. No one will question you. The exchange is only necessary when you have a 16 years old using a child's pass.

Well, unfortunately (or not) my 10 year old daughter is 5'5" (taller than me!) and looks very much older than she is. We probably would get questioned.

we exchanged our DD's child ticket for an adult pass last trip--it took us less than 2 minutes to do at GS at Epcot. We didn't want there to be any questions or hold-ups, so we just did it. Wish Universal had the same policy--we had to pay $32 to upgrade DD's pass to adult, and then she got sick at 2 pm on the day we went.

It really only took us 5 mintues and no $$. For us its worth 5 mintues out of our day to be sure my child has the proper pass. All it takes is one CM to ask a few questions and your child (oops..adult!!) could be in an embarrasing situation.

Since Disney dosen't penalize children for growing up and allows you to convert the unused days why not just do it? I know my 9yo knows that when she turns 10 in October she will need an adult pass. I will not feel comfortable telling her to just sneak in with the childrens pass when I can take care of it in a matter of minutes, just my .02!

I asked about doing this when I made my resort ressies. They told me there is charge for upgrading to an adult pass. They'd give me credit for what was left on the child pass toward the purchase of an adult pass.
My DD turned 10 last month and we are going to Disney in April.
I was just going to use her child passes. Maybe I"ll ask at the desk- I'd prefer she had the proper ticket but I'd hate to pay extra for it.

They can not do this at the desk of your wdw resort only at guest relations at the park entrance. Just tell the cm you want to exchange (not upgrade!) your childs PH to an adult as he/she has leftover days. There will not be a charge but they will transfer the exact number of days or plus options from a childs pass to an adult pass. They will charge you if you would rather put the unused days toward another pass but not to just change the days from a child to adult pass. Disney does not punish children for growing up. They will convert any leftover days and or plus options from a child pass to an adult - provided the child is present and the dates make sense.

So technically what the CM told you is correct if you need more days that are left on the childs pass you do have to pay. IMHO its cheaper to convert the left over days from child pass to an adult pass, then purchase whatever remaining days you need as an adult pass. Typically applying unused days on any pass is not the most economical way to purchase a pass.

Will they combine days from a few different child passes to one adult pass? I have my older DDs leftover days too. There should be 4-5 days left on all combined. Enough for our trip.

No they won't. It's a one ticket for one ticket exchange. You will get the same amount of admissions back on each ticket but they will not combine them into one.

Do not try to combine. Even if they let you do that, they use dollar value rather than day value and for child passes purchased several years ago you won't get that many adult days of usage.

Universal charged you $32.? You probably should have complained. Does not make sense to pay more total for yesteryear's ticket price plust today's upgrade compared with buying an adult ticket for your child from the git-go way back then. (was that the case?)
