Nah. We’re talking about a small group of people with similar lives, histories, and experiences. It’s not even the entire family, just a very specific subset. Moreover, it’s not even necessary for them to have 100% agreement on the issue. They’re just on the same “side”. I don’t find it the least bit odd. My cousins are spread from CA to NC, but we all root for the same baseball team.
