Day 1: Arrival
Up bright and early at 2AM, and it's still snowing outside. Got our minivan taxi to the airport, and off we flew at 7am.
On arrival, and the DME bus ride to SSR, we checked in at the main lobby around 11am. Lunch was at Artist's Palette, attached to the lobby. My chiicken cordon bleu panini was very good, as were Brendan's chicken nuggets. The girls had the standard kids fare, Mac and cheese with 2 sides, grapes and chips. Brendan particularly liked dessert, worms in dirt.
After lunch, we waited at the main pool for our treehouse to be ready. Nice size pool, only 5 feet deep at its deepest, and a nice sized water slide. For smaller kids, theres a kiddie pool and a splash pad aarea, and a hot tub.
The kids changed and quickly found the water, as I found the pool bar.

They have various pool activities throughout the afternoon. The 20 questions were fun, especially when I sooned realized that I wasn't the only Disney nut around. After trivia came Bingo, and then just after 4pm, our treehouse was finally ready.
Our first sign of "the Disney difference" was from Bell services. They not only delivered out Garden Grocers order and Owner's locker to our treehouse, but us as well.
After a nap and some unpacking (with the help of Brendan), my parent's called from the lobby at around 6pm (as they flew from Buffalo). My dad said he was sure he was in the wrong place when he saw how amazingly "ritzy" the SSR grounds were. Yea DVC!!
After a nice boat ride over to downtown disney, we had a fantastic supper at Pollo Csmpero. The staff there was amazing for my Mom, who is celiac, and got her a nice chicken with rice meal, with an amazing gluten free doughnut from Babycakes. My dad had checken as well, whereas me and the kids had salads or wraps.
The day ended with a look around World of Disney and a boat ride back to our treehouse.
