Leaving Sunday for VWL!

We are leaving Sunday out of LaGuradia (a first for us!) for New Year's week at VWL. I was on the official Disney site and they listed park openings at 8 AM. Does this mean that there will still be EE for the park of the day? That will be real early mornings for us if, in fact, it is true! Noticed that the weather looks pretty good for our week! Can't wait to go. This is the first time we are going with minimal plans, except for PS at Artist's Point, Akershus and Boma. So happy that we own DVC that we don't have to do the marathon park trip! We actually hope to rent bikes, go to Disney Quest and just hang out at the pool/hot tub. Write soon!

I'm green with envy!

When we were at VWL a few weeks back I got so I hated leaving the lodge to go to the parks. It sounds like you have the right plan in the works. I hope you have a wonderful time there. Enjoy!

Sorry this is a little late. We got back from VWL, our home resort about three weeks ago and it was wonderful!! You are doing the right thing by not making huge plans. We had one early morning, 8am at Cindys. Not complaining, it was good but that early morning deal is for the birds.

We went back to the room, took it easy til around 12:30 then went to MGM and it made all the difference in the world.

We love owning at VWL. It is so peaceful and relaxing(especially by that fireplace in the Iron Spike room and the lobby at the villas, comfy chairs )
