We were thrilled that you signed up to be part of our “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” program*, but it looks like Marquis missed their committed volunteer date.

Sign up for a new volunteer activity at a participating organization and complete your service to get your free Disneyland® or Walt Disney World® Theme Park ticket!

If you have served and already fulfilled your commitment, please contact your volunteer organization to ensure we receive your verification.

Here’s what you have to do to get your FREE Disneyland® or Walt Disney World Theme Park ticket:
• Search for and commit to a new volunteer activity.
• Complete your volunteer service.
• Print the voucher we’ll email to you once your service is verified. Follow the instructions on the voucher to redeem it by December 15, 2010. Block-out dates apply. Then, enjoy! (Or you can donate your ticket to a designated organization.)

Help us celebrate the spirit of volunteerism this year and be a part of the one million people we hope to inspire to make a difference. Hurry and commit to an opportunity today!

*Must preregister and sign up for eligible volunteer opportunity at disneyparks.com. Ticket quantities for this program are limited. Must be at least age 6 to participate. One ticket per person. Other terms and conditions apply. See disneyparks.com for details.

I signed up a group of three with myself included. Me and the other person went but the guy above missed it...he decided just to pay for a ticket when we get down there. PLEASE someone tells me that me and the other person do not have to complete another activity! Not that we don't want to :), but we would like our free ticket before we leave next week since it will be two weeks then. From the email, it seems like we were verified, but I'm confused.

Answers anyone?

Thanks!!! :)

The answer is in the email you received :) Contact the organization where you volunteered so they can fix the record......Good luck!

I spoke to them and they said they verified the people who were there. I'm the group leader so maybe I got this email just to inform me that Marquis (The person who missed his date) needs to sign up for something new?

But now he says he will just pay for a ticket. I've tried to delete him from my account, but it won't let me. And I'm getting anxious to say the least

You will be fine, they are basically just reconfirming that Marquis didn't attend the volunteer activity. So that way if there was something wrong you had time to dispute it. By them saying that he didn't attends (to me) confirms that they got yours and the other person verification.

Now I got THIS email!

We’re thrilled you are interested in our “Give a Day. Get a Disney Day.” program*, but it looks like you and Marquis have yet to commit to a volunteer activity at a participating organization in your community. We’re close to reaching our goal of inspiring one million people, so sign up for a volunteer activity now.

• If you’re currently communicating with a participating organization to arrange an eligible volunteer activity, you must confirm a date and time for such activity, then follow the instructions in the email you’ll receive from HandsOn Network to complete the sign up process for that volunteer activity.

• If you still need to find a volunteer activity, now is the time to search for one on disneyparks.com. Then complete the registration form and sign up to commit to a specific date and time for such activity.

• If you have committed to an activity before we have reached our goal of inspiring one million people, then after you complete your service and it is verified, you’ll be able to print a voucher for your FREE ticket to a Walt Disney World® Theme Park.

Now they are saying that BOTH us missed it! But on my account, it still says "pending verification" for me and the boyfriend, but for the guy, it says he didn't complete it which we know already. This is turning out to be a hugeeeee headache...

I got the same email...I am the "you" and I've already printed my voucher...so I know it is just a mistake. The others named in the email didn't commit yet, so that part made sense.

Did your account still say that it was Pending Verification?
What is it supposed to say when it is time to print out your voucher?

I just spoke to the Project Coordinator and she said that on her end as far as the website goes, everything is fine. But she will check into it again in the morning.

Sounds like things will work out for you! Have fun! :cool1:

I got the same email. My mom and stepdaughter didn't end up volunteering with us, but the other 5 of us did and I have our vouchers already printed! I was worried when it said YOU (and their names) didn't volunteer, but when I went to the site, it has down that the 5 of us who did complete our volunteering were confirmed.

Although it does say I haven't printed the vouchers when I have, but I've heard that is common as well.
