If we go to Epcot for the day and take mono to MK for Spectro and Wishes, is the mono back to Epcot less crowded then boat and mono back to TTC from MK? I've been stuck in that crowd before. Also can you catch Illum in Epcot after Wishes at MK?

I'm sorry I can't help you. I just wanted to suggest you post this on the transportation board as well. I am sure they could answer this question for you.

Well, not sure I understand your question, but here is my guess. What is confusing about your question is that the monorail doesnt go from the MK to Epcot. there are three rail loops.

One loop circles the resorts and MK, stopping at all resorts on the monorail and the MK and TTC.

One loop goes form the TTC to the MK and makes direct trips to and from the MK.

and another loop goes from the TTC to Epcot and back.

So to go from the MK to Epcot, you have to go from the MK to the TTC by either ferry or Monorail, then catch the monorail to th Epcot park.

I hope this helps.

I think what you can and can not do in the night will depend largely on when you go and what time the various shows (illuminations, Spectro, wishes) are performed. If there are two performances of Spectro, it might be possible to catch the early show, head over to Epcot and see Illuminations.

As far as crowds after Wishes, there are a whole lot of people trying to cram themselves onto every form of transportation after the show. My advice? Take your time, wander Main Street and do a little shopping. I try and stay in the park as late as possible, knowing that when I and the rest of the shoppers are finally ready to leave, the crowds will be much less severe than in that first 20 minutes or so after the final fireworks show of the evening has ended.

You could always walk to the Contemporary (If Monorail and Ferryboats are backed up) then jump on Resort Monorail to TTC to Epcot Monorail. This would would work at just getting away from the crowds...But you'll run into them again at TTC...but may be ahead of quite a few of them.

This is a great option. True, you'll encounter a crowd when you reach TTC, but the vast majority of them will be leaving, not getting on the EPCOT monorail.

Otherwise, I'd agree with Richard about staying in MK as long as possible to let the crowd die down.

We like to watch Spectro from the front of the park and leave when it ends, beating the crowds.

Thanks everyone for your advice. Yes, I forgot that monorails go thru TTC and not direct from MK to Epcot. I think that staying in MK longer makes sense.
