leaving in 40hrs for the Poly

I am getting really excited now...
Can't wait to leave.
But still have one problem... we added days to our trip and didn't tell our daughter. How should I surprise her with the news?
I really want to surprise her!
wish sunday would hurry and get here.

Have a great time. The Poly is our favorite. I think I would do like Tinky said and let her think it is almost over. What a great surprise!

How old is she? If she's old enough to understand exactly which day you were leaving, I wouldn't even say anything. I would just keep on going with my vacation as usual until she asks "Hey, shouldn't we be packing by now." Then I'd say something like "Neh, let's just stay here longer."

My dad this to us and we wouldn't believe him, for the longest time. We thought he lost it, b/c it was so hard for him to get any time off, yet alone just take extra days. When we finally believed him, those were the best days of the entire trip. We felt like we were getting away with something very sneaky.

Yep, We're down to 19 days. I can't believe we're actually in the teens!!!! I do believe that time has officially stopped as of today though.

DNSDisney - I can't wait for you to get back and give us all the details. It will be perfect timing since we'll be leaving about a week after you return. Here's hoping you have mild temps and mild crowds.

Thanks for all the well wishes. This will be the best trip ever, it will also probably be the last trip my DD will want to do all the little kid things. I will never forget when she was 4 yr old and it was our first trip to WDW with her. She was in heaven! And I will never forget the look on her face when she saw the castle , Mickey, Minnie (her favorite at that time) , and the princesses for the first time. Snow White kissed her check and i don't think she wanted to wash it for weeks LOL
She is truly a Disney Kid!!

I will be sure to post a report when I return. If there is anything I can check on for you let me know. I will check the board about 10am in the morning before we leave. Thanks to everyone on this great board for all the wonderful info.

I would actually even start packing. Knowing my dd, she would whine and moan..."Oh, I wish we didn't have to leave..." etc. At that point I would say.."Fine, we'll just stay then!" Have a ball. I wish I were going too.
