leaving in 2 days for a non dvc vacation but

since we are new dvc'rs i would love to go to ssr and check out their rooms and akl rooms how do we do this should i call up our guide and make an appointment??

You can go to SSR and tour the models for both SSR and AKV there on your own if you want. They are open in the evening from 4 or 5 to 7 or 8 I think. I imagine if you call they will give you the number. They do have people there to answer questions also. We did this when we were there in April to show friends who were staying with us at OKW the differences between the resorts and then went to DTD for a nice stroll through the marketplace and pleasure island.

if you're over by the boardwalk, there is also a model room for BWV set up there. no appointment needed...

there's someone there staffing the model...to answer questions and presumably set up tours through the models for the currently for-sale resorts...but it's more "self-serve" for the most part.
