We plan to see Illuminations on 10/28. Only park open that late (MNSSHP at MK) and expect it to be busy. Any suggestions on getting out of the park? Is there anywhere to watch them and sets you up for quick exit? Better to take bus or have car? What are your thoughts?

If you watch from Future world you have a quicker exit only it is harder to get seats there. The only other option I know of is to watch from near the international gateway. After the show either take you time leaving and get out later at the main gate or leave throught the international gateway and head to one of the epcot resorts right there, hop a bus to where ever you wanted to go. In years past I have watched from the WS and just slowly wandered back to the main gate. by that time the busses and monorail has taken a large majority of guests and I have never had to wait that long to get back to my resort.

I don't think it is as bad leaving Epcot after fireworks than the other parks. We stay near the entrance to World Showcase.

My suggestion, take your time leaving. Don't lollygag, but just remember that you'll eventually get out of the park ;) If there seem to be an excessive number of people, most of the shops are still open, so running into a few of those is sometimes a good way to kill time (did this at MGM after Fantasmic and it worked out pretty well.
