We paid for the BBQ in July. The menu was hamburgers, hotdogs, and BBQ ribs with potato salad and corn on the cobb. Desserts were watermelon and apple pie. Drinks were water, unsweet tea, and lemonade.
This is the second year we've paid for the dinner, but I'm not sure if we'd do it again. $20 for a hamburger and watermelon wasn't quite worth it for us. However, I do have to admit that, when they gave the last call, there was tons of food left. So I took a plate of burgers and buns, and we heated it up another day. Doing that made it a better value.

One thing that I would mention is that the activities take place during the meal, so it makes sitting down for dinner much harder. Our kids wanted to go do all the activities instead of eat, which meant one of us parents had to wait to eat too.
I think that next year we'll eat in our room beforehand, which will allow us to enjoy all the free activities so much more.
(As to the pirate cruise, we did that 3 years ago, and our kids loved it too!)
