OMG, why I am beginning to get nervous, LOL...the closer the day gets, I seem to be getting butterflys....

I have nothing packed, a few things out that I plan on bringing, I keep telling myself "its too soon to start packing", I know whats gonna happen, I will wait till last minute then I will be all stressed out...

My son in law did wash the RV this past weekend, that is what we are traveling in, staying at POR ...

Anyone else get nervous or wait till last minute...please I hope I am not the only one, LOL...

I get nervous too, but its a good nervous. I'm always up late packing, and my DH is always rushing me. And we always forget stuff! Anyway, you'll be fine, have a great trip!

I usually start packing about 2 or 3 days before we leave. Mostly just toiletries, bathing suits, towels, and pajama pants. Also the camera and its accessories. The day before we leave I pack our clothes. That way I have a better idea of what the Florida weather will be like and it gives me enough time to make sure all of laundry is clean and suitcase ready! One thing I learned is to make a list and don't cross anything off until it's physically in the bag! I would take things out and leave them near the suitcase but cross it off on the list and most certainly leave without it!

I start getting things together about 2 weeks out. It is usually gathering up my toiletries first and making sure that I have everything there. Then I move onto bathing suite, any clothes that I know I'm not going to wear between now and then. I like to take one nicer outfit to wear to DTD or if we go somewhere that needs something more then Capris and a tank. Then the closer to time the more ou are able to pack. I am usually done about 2 days before we leave except for the everyday things thatI will pick up and pack the morning of. just make sure that you make a list and try to make a list of day of items that you need to grab. Make a couple of copies of them on post its and place one on the back of the front door to remind yourself that you have everything and the other on top of you suitcase.

But it is ok to be be nervous. It's Disney.. You are just wanting to be there already and have the magic start already! Trust me when I say I'm sure most of us have had that same exact feeling before!

I am having that feeling right now.....and I am 3 months out....I am normally ready to pack things I know I can at this point....yes I start packing months in advance well not really I just complie everything "for DW" in a bin next to the suitcase....any special purchases stuff like that....surprises usually are packed right away......

Maybe see if you can start gathering things to pack anything to take off any last min pressure or stress. I usually am fully packed (with the exception of day of stuff like hair brushes etc.) about a week or 2 out and repack 2 days before checking over my list again and then the night before checking it twice......all I need is the red and white suite LOL....

But enjoy the moment its part of the experience its Disney and your gonna have a magical trip!

I learned in 2008 to NEVER wait until a couple of days before departure date to start packing. Our trip was scheduled to begin Friday, Sept. 12th and we had a really, really busy week before leaving. Then :scared1: Hurricane Ike appeared in the Gulf. To make a long story short...when the forecast called for Ike to "arrive" in Galveston the evening of our departure we began to panic. Spent the 11th checking and re-checking the progress of Ike; checking and re-checking flight schedules and calling and calling the airline:eek:. We finally decided  at 4 that afternoon we'd change our flight to early, EARLY morning and get out of Houston while we could. There were 3 of us checking for earlier flights when son-in-law "sweet talked" the reservation lady into a flight to Tampa. We needed to be at the airport at 5 AM:eek: and with 5 & 3 yr. old DGD we decided to stay in Houston that night. We then "scrambled" :headache: for a hotel room close to the airport. By that time it was 8PM and DD wanted to leave by 9 ... and I HAD NOT EVEN STARTED PACKING!:scared1: AND...had to leave "instruction list" for DH who had to stay behind as a member of our local emergency response team :scared:! I was throwing things into my suitcase as DD was honking the car horn to leave :rotfl:. I will never, NEVER wait until the "last couple of days" to pack again :rolleyes1.
My "reward" for all the stress? Had the room at the Poly ALL TO MYSELF for 3 days:thumbsup2! ... and, we had very minimal hurricane damage :yay:!:tink:

:cool2: We have 16 more days and counting. It will be a long drive to Disney, but it is worth it. Going to Disney for 2 days and taking 3 days of relaxation. This will be our 6th time to Disney in 10 years. I hope everyone have a great time at Disney World, I know we will.

I have started getting things together I bought all new clothing for this trip. I found 70block sunscreen at the dollar tree. I have a huge bag of things to take that I have been buying for the past 6 months. This will be my birthday in wdw and my first vacation in 3 years. I have a very demanding job with a large hospital. I started looking at things and realized that I never took a full vacation in 3 years even though I am paid for it. I can hardly stand the wait.
