....how to open an automatic garage door when the power is out.

We lost power at 6am this morning, and it still wasn't back on by the time I left for work at 9:30. The roads were almost flooded enough that I couldn't get in to work, and if the water keeps rising, I may not be able to get home tonight. Looks like the rain is going to be letting up in intensity at least for the rest of the day, so hopefully things will go *down* instead of *up*.

Hope you get home okay, and your house doesn't get flooded..
My neighbor had a similar issue and she said she couldn't go to work, I said to just pull down on the red rope..and she was like..

The rain has let up enough that I shouldn't have any trouble getting home later tonight. Hopefully.

As for our house -- it's high and dry. It's the roads to and from that were getting pretty close to being problem areas.
