Le Cellier vs Yatchsman

I am sure you know that 'Le Cellier' means The Cellar?

:confused3

Atmosphere - seriously.

Le Cellier feels like, well, a cellar. Nothing nice about the place, just dim and crowded.

The room at YSH is light and airy. The rotunda section especially.

Last seating is 8:55..park may close at 9:00..but the restaurants don't.
If things went along quickly..I would think it's because the kitchen wasn't busy and I am sure the restaurant was emptying out?

Poorly cooked food is another issue! Hopefully they addresssed that?

We just got back from WDW last week and ate at LeCellier. We were very disappointed in the whole experience. We've eaten there a few times and I know how difficult it is to get a reservation, so when I went online and found a ressie for 8:40 pm I decided to take it, even though I don't like eating that late. From the moment we entered the restaurant we knew that we were going to be rushed since the park closed at 9:00 pm. My salmon was dry and overcooked while my friends filet mignon was hardly cooked at all and she asked for it to be cooked medium. She had to send it back twice before they got it right and by then the rest of us were all done eating our dinner. I ordered the smores for dessert and felt it was pre-made ahead of time and put in the freezer as the cookie part was so hard I couldn't even bite into it. After this last experience I would much prefer Yachtsman over LeCellier if I'm going to be using two credits for the dining plan! That being said for two credits I'd go to California Grill or The Flying Fish over either of the two steakhouses.

le cellier always runs behind as the evening progresses. i love yatchsmans but often pick le cellier for two reasons - the soup and the ease of staying in the park rather than leaving the park. i thought le cellier was a good value for a 1ts meal but i think they have to really step it up to be a signature venue.

plus am i the only one that wishes that any/all the restaurants in the parks, at dtd, and any resort that gives you the benefits of emh (like dolphin and swan for instance so bluezoo and shula's) would be required to take the dining plan?

From what I have heard with the new menu, they will!:thumbsup2

Not all restaurants are Disney owned..can't make them take the dining plan..

Yes, it did realize that. That's exactly why I chose those words. To be clearer, there is nothing appetizing to me about eating in a cellar.

I'd take Yatchsman over LeCellier, but the best steakhouse is Shulas.

I think it's great that some of them don't. I wish fewer of them did. The quality is higher at S&D's restaurants, for the most part, & I'd like to see it stay that way.
