Le Cellier - My Truth About Series

Nice review, looking foward my lunch reservation I have here in October. Can't beat it since we are on the free dining plan. Also Le Cellier is ranked #2 out of over 1,000 Orlando area restaurants which is outstanding.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

To the Moderators, I didn't intend for my title to be interpreted as the "truth" and the only "truth". It was just meant to be an eye-catching name. I value all opinions and do not consider one to be any more important than another. Thanks for your understanding.

I noticed you have not reviewed drinks. What about mixed drinks and/or wine with the meal? Often that is an added plus if they have a good selection.

And a review on a mixed drink or a glass/carafe/bottle of wine is always a welcome plus in any review.

in this case they also serve a very good brew. have you tried any of them?

A quick look at my profile will reveal that I am just a freshmen is high school. So, sorry, I won't be reviewing any alcoholic beverages.

Great Post, Le Cellier has a lot of Hype and I am not sure it is warranted, Don't get me wrong it is good, but it is not SO good that it should be sold out every night for 6 months. If you can get in great, enjoy it. If you cannot get in, no big loss there are other restaurants that are just as good that your family can enjoy.

I have been seeking to uncover a truth about LC, so I thought I would try to find out here...does anyone know if the "Chef's Favorites" (allears name) or the "Le Cellier Experience" (wdwinfo name) is included in the DDP? It's the choose one app, entree, dessert for $36.99 deal. I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Thanks!

::yes:: ::yes:: My daughters and I ate at LeCellier on July 1, 2009 :yay: We were on the DDP and they each got a different LeCellier Experience and both gave them :thumbsup2 One had the All Natural Chicken Breast and the other got the King Salmon Two Ways :goodvibes We took pictures which I will be posting soon ;)

USAswimmer626, thanks for such terrific, detailed reviews :) You have a great gift with your writing style  As a teacher, I notice those kinds of things :goodvibes Are you really only just in high school?? I never would have guess that :scratchin I am in the northern part of Massachusetts near the New Hampshire border. Where are you? Thanks again and I look forward to reading more from you :wave2:

How was the King Salmon Two Ways? Since I have two reservations there on my upcoming trip, I am possibly looking to try something besides my Mushroom Filet.

My daughter who had the salmon is a chef so I defer to her as my food critic :p She said it was very good. There were two good size pieces and she was not able to finish them. According to her and her trained taste buds, the salmon was perfectly cooked, moist and very well seasoned. I do have pictures and will post them shortly. I am sure you will enjoy it :goodvibes

I have been trying SO hard to find out: anyone try the new Veal T-Bone? I usually get the Filet, but this sounded interesting. reviews? thanks!

I was able to do this without a problem because I wanted the cheese soup. I would ask your server, however, because it may depend on the server you have.

We've eaten at Le Cellier many times, never had a bad meal. We've sampled a variety of dishes, each quite good. My son and I are "Soup People" and contrary to some opinions, we love the cheese soup.

I currently have two issues with LC:

1. Service-If you get a bad Waiter and there are a few, you're done for. I'm not demanding, I don't need constant attention but by the same token I don't want to be ignored, especially when you've forgetten to bring me something I ordered.

2. Herd em in and rush em out-See, I enjoy dinner, and at those prices I savor my food. I don't "speed eat" and I actually chew my food. I don't want my soup, salad, appetizer and steak to arrive at the table all at one time. This has hapenned the last 2 times we've been there. At this point, I'd rather go to Shula's or Yachtmen, LC is too stressful of a dining experience. I would only consider going during slow off peak times!

I can't believe I haven't had time to update my "The Truth About" threads. I dined at Le Cellier once on my past trip (Aug 25 - Sept 5) and was very satisfied with my meal. I ordered the Mushroom Filet Mignon, cooked medium rare. It was prepared perfectly and the risotto was delicious as always. I had the Chocolate Whisky Cake for dessert, which was great as always. Since I didn't particularly care for Le Cellier in 2008, this was a nice treat!:goodvibes

We're just back from LeCellier, and overall, we had a decent meal there. I've waited a long time to try the Maple creme brulee and finally I had it this week. I have to say that the very first bite had that overpowering artificial maple flavor, you know the flavor that you might get on the Maple/Caramel doughnut @ Walmart...! I thought to myself, Canada is known for their Natural Maple syrup and they wouldn't dare use an artificial flavoring in such a nice desert. Well, after finding the recipe online, it says they do just that. 2 teaspoons of Maple extract. Blech! I couldn't eat it. I would rather they used natural Maple syrup that would give a mild maple flavor instead of that "Mrs. Butterworth" taste! :)

That's awful! I had the Maple Creme Brulee in November 2006 right at the beginning of what some people identify as the "Disney Dining Decline". I remember it being perfectly flavored with real maple taste, not the artificial flavoring in most store syrups. I'm sorry it didn't live up to your expectations.
