Le Cellier - My Truth About Series

I have been seeking to uncover a truth about LC, so I thought I would try to find out here...does anyone know if the "Chef's Favorites" (allears name) or the "Le Cellier Experience" (wdwinfo name) is included in the DDP? It's the choose one app, entree, dessert for $36.99 deal. I can't seem to find an answer anywhere. Thanks!

I am 99% sure you can order it on the Dining Plan.

Great review and categories...well thought out. I'd love for a series, as you mention at the end of your post.

I have written a second review on Kona Cafe. It is available by going to my profile and looking under the signature section.

I had to send my steak back the first time I ate there.... Not impressed. I love the risotta, though. I also liked the soup but have had much better at the Brown Derby. I do not like how close the tables are. I have eaten there twice and both times we start talking to other guests or have them start talking to us. Personally in an upscale restaurant I want more privacy...

I had to send my steak back once. I ordered it medium rare, and it probably came out medium well. It was easily corrected, but still a small annoyance. I agree that the risotto is awesome!

Thanks for the review I am looking forward to trying here next trip :)

I have to agree with this review. I went my last trip and was generally underwhelmed. My favorite part of the meal was the pretzel bread. I found the cheese soup pretty flavorless. The steak was good but not fantastic.

I love the Pretzel Bread so much!

Here is my most recent review on Columbia Harbour House.

We've eaten at Le Cellier four times over the years. We've had nothing less than stellar service & excellent food every time.

Glad you've had good experiences, and wishing you many more!:)

op
Great review. That was pretty much my impression. I enjoyed my meal there but if I missed it on one trip, it would upset me much.

My family loves Le Cellier but myself...............I only go for the Spicey Chicken Sausage and Polenta appetizer. It is AMAZING!

I might have to try the Spicy Chicken and Polenta appetizer. Everyone is giving really good reviews about it.

Very accurate review. My personal opinion on Le Cellier: Top notch if you are on the DDP for 1 TS credit, overpriced but good meal if you are not.

We only make ADRs here if we are on the plan (same goes for most of the WS TS places)

Yes, most of the Disney restaurants are WAY overpriced, especially those in the World Showcase. Can't wait for my trip!!!

I would doubt it....the DDP allows for an entree, dessert and beverage..not an appetizer. A lot of guests have asked for there to be a choice between an appetizer and a dessert, but desserts are much cheaper to produce, so they will stay.

As for reviews, it's one person's opinion. I have eaten at LeCellier about 6 or 7 times to date. I have always enjoyed my meal...the size has been good, the food itself good. I have yet to have a bad, or even mediocre meal there. I love the atmosphere...don't have anything like it in my area at home.
Service?? I have had, without a doubt, the best service at LeCellier...better than any other restaurants. And that would include Chefs. We had badly prepared food at Chefs, a server that really didn't seem to care that iced tea should be..wait for it...iced! We asked 3 times for ice cubes to chill the tepid iced tea...never got it. My beef was badly overcooked, my dh's fish was okay but not what he had expected. And the service was incredibly slow..not relaxed, or leisurely, just plain slow.

Getting other opinions is a great way to make choices...just remember that everyone is entitled to an opinion. Obviously, there are varying opinions. I'm heading down in 3 weeks...no ADRs at LeCellier for me. Free dining is in effect for that time, so nothing was available...but that's okay. Disney keeps removing my favorites anyway.

Le Cellier is our favorite, We just got our ADR for dinner, at a good time too. Were just happy to be going, we haven't been able to get in in three years.
I had to be on the computer at 6:00am on the 90 day mark exactly to get what we wanted.

You beat me again Goofy4Tink! :)

It's important to remember that every dining review on the review board is the Truth about the restaurant that's being reviewed. All of our reviewers share their own truth, and all reviews are appreciated. No one review is more true or important than any other review.

That being said, thank you for sharing your opinion on LeCellier. :goodvibes

They had this at lunch in January when we ate there and it was on the ddp. Our server thought it was a great deal, but I got the NY strip. It was the best steak I've ever eaten. The soup did seem less great, but still a terrific dip for pretzel bread.

more than a few times and when we can get in on a trip it's good but I stopped ordering the steaks a while back. I make better ones at home and Texas Roadhouse is always better. I think they stopped using choice beef to trim back on costs.

The atmosphere is good and food consistent but we like Prime Time just as well and it's more affordable. We've never had an issue with the service on any visits.
