Le Cellier? Just wondering!!

I hope so....I made ADR's for here and I'm hoping that the potato cheese soup and the bread sticks are as good as they look!!!

Plus my son is excited about the moose :o)

Just a quick question.....is Le Cellier really all it is cracked up to be????

Yes, it definately is! We went there in January for the 2nd time (1st was in 2005) and were hoping the quality hadn't gone down any -- and it did not disappoint!

I was very impresses...ohhh the cheddar soup....mmmm everything we had was exceptional. I too thought before we went...how good can it really be...and now I know..it is darn good !

We love Le Cellier! As a matter of fact, I just booked our ADR for June, today!!:cool1: :cool1:

We loved it the first time we went, but not so much the second time. I don't know whether it was because we had lunch instead of dinner, because we had to wait over 45 minutes to be seated even though we had ADRs, or because we had higher expectations. The food was good both times, but we left feeling kind of let down that second time. Will we go back? Yes, but not soon.

It is not one of my favorites but we eat there just about every trip as dh likes it. Since it's been so hard to get dinner reservations, we've been eating late lunches and that has worked out ok.

No, it was the worst meal of our trip last year. It's a steakhouse - nothing you can't find back at home at higher prices (and not as good of quality).

It's hit and miss - if your family likes basic food and you hit on a good night, you'll enjoy it.

I went for the first time this past November. All we had was the cheddar soup (it was awesome!) and dessert (the chocolate cake - Excellent!) The atmosphere is really cool (like you are in a dungeon). The waitstaff was wonderful and they were busy when we were there.

I'd say it is definitely worth trying.

We tried it for the first time on our August '07 trip. It was awesome. I was completely grossed out by the cheddar cheese soup however :scared: It was nasty... like eating a bowl of melted cheese ... ick! :rotfl: The pretzel breadsticks were AMAZING and dinner was fabulous :thumbsup2 I got the free range chicken breast... YUMMMO! DH got steak of course... he's not a steak person at all-mostly ribs and chicken, but he LOVED the steak. I took a bite and I'd have to admit it was one of the best tasting steaks I'd ever tried :thumbsup2 We were too full for dessert, so I can't comment on it since we didn't bother ordering it :rolleyes1

Hoping to go back again this August :thumbsup2 Making my ADR's next Sunday!

Le Cellar is the best 1 credit dinning restaurant IMO.

I was just there on Friday for lunch. They got rid of the cream cheese mashed potatoes with the filet. What the heck? i was so sad! Now the lunch filet comes with sweet potato puree! :scared: The sirloin steak comes with Yukon potatoes, but those are NOT the same either. :sad2:

Still, that cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread is AWESOME. Next time I'm ordering me a trough of the soup and calling it a meal!

We love it, and we're pretty picky about how our steaks are prepared. We've eaten there on our last two trips, and have a dinner reservation there for one night of our honeymoon in early August. Dinner is much better than lunch, IMO, but the lunch was still a good meal.

Yes, Yes, Yes

Ok I am not sure how i feel about that...that's may favorite dish!

Four words............DO NOT MISS IT!

We love it. Vine ripened tomato stack, filet with mushroom risotto, and creme brulee:cloud9: . A group of eleven of us (all solo DISers) ate there this past December and we all loved it.

We have eaten there many times over the years and always had great meals and service. We try to eat there on every other trip. The only must do restaurant for us on every trip is California Grill.

It was DH's favorite meal last trip..and in my top 3. The risotto was soooo yummy and I loved the cheddar cheese soup and pretzel bread. I'm sad they got rid of the maple creme brulee though..that was delicious!
