i just booked an oct trip and last week could only get le cellier for lunch - however i just called and found a dinner! now, it's not on the nite i hoped, but i'm getting the feeling i shouldn't complain!! its for wed 8th october at 745p - we had planned to go to AK EMH that nite - which i hear that the park is wonderful at nite- my questions are
what time should we leave AK to get to Le Cellier for a 745pm ADR?
given what time we'd need to leave AK would we still enjoy the 'wonder' of the evening EMH there?

and general opinions are welcomed on lunch v dinner there- we're on the dining plan - 2 kids, 12, 9 adventurous eaters.

thanks so much for any /all advice!!

the fact that you even got an ADR at le cellier!

take it! and enjoy!

we've done both lunch and dinner there - prefer lunch, quieter and it's nice to get out of the hot afternoon sun - plus the menu is much the same

We have always done dinner at Le Cellier but this October I changed our ADR and we're doing lunch. DH and I are going to the Food and Wine festival ourselves that night and putting the kiddies in the Sandcastle Club.

I checked the menu and alot of it seems the same except for the Prime Rib is only for dinner. That is what I usually get, so I'll have to try something new.

We've always done lunch at LeCellier and love it :thumbsup2 We'll actually be trying dinner there for the first time in December :santa:

AK at night is really neat, so if it were me I'd have lunch at LeCellier and go to AK EEMH :goodvibes

you know what -- i LOVE these boards site- i stumble upon a problem or just need advice and i know i can get quick good responses so quickly! it makes planning so much better and easier-- i frequent other boards (non travel) and most often the people snipe and are rude to each other - never here---

thank you everyone and disboads! i

This my favorite dining spot in WDW,have had many a great lunch and dinner at LeCellier.Always had great food and service.:goodvibes :goodvibes :goodvibes

We have never been to AK for evening EMH and generally I find the parks a bit crowded for evening EMH. Of course we go in August so that makes a difference.

How long will it take? Depends on how you are getting there. By car, I would say 40 minutes by the time you walk to your car, drive, park at Epcot and walk to Canada in the World Showcase. By Disney transportation I would say "You can't get there from here".:rotfl2:

As much as I love dinner at LeCellier, if you are keen to do the evening EMH, I would say stick with your original plan.

We liked both lunch a little more because it was quieter. you cant go wrong with either just choose the one that fits your schedule

we ate lunch there and it WAS quiet. Some reviews say it's a noisy place, so maybe the lunches are quieter? The menu is pretty much the same, the steak is a smaller size, still it was a big steak for us. -it came w/ Yukon potatoes and the dinner one comes w/ the cream cheese mashed potatoes, which i wanted to try. This upcoming trip we have another lunch ADR and i'm going to ask for the cream cheese mashed potatoes. :)

The mango smoothie was soo great and it was a drink on the DDP, so is the chocolate raspberry shake which by pics looks very good too.
