We will be in Orlando for 11 days in July. The first 4 will be at the JW Marriott Grande Lakes for the Triplet Connection Convention. We will be going to WDW for 7 days staying at the Contemporary.
We are staying on 12 floor tower club. We will need to do some laundry at some point. We were wondering what laudry facilities there are in the Contemporary? I found on a website that are some in the garden wings, but are there any in the tower? Thanks

hi: i haven't stayed in the contemporary in a few years (we're dvc owners), but the laundry used to be to the left of the rear lobby exit doors of the tower. the laundry room was actually outside the tower. the door was between the lobby exit door and the outside entrance to the snack bar. don't forget to bring your own detergent, etc. the laundry tablets travel well and are fairly compact.

Hi Triplet Dad,

There are no laundry facilities in the tower but there are in both the South Garden Wing and the North Garden Wing. My suggestion is to use the North Wing facilities. They're a closer walk to the tower. Especially if you cut through the Food -n- Fun Center's door. Once you get into the North wing the laundry room is on the second floor about 7 doors down from the elevator on the left. Enjoy your vacation. :p

CR is great, especially the Tower Club and the 14th fl. You'll love it & with triplets you'll save some money for breakfast with the offerings. THe laundry facilities are in both wings, which I first thought would be a pain. I remember putting off doing it for a while, but with 3 kids, (2 being twins) and staying there for 13 days, I HAD to do laundry at some point. I went down around 1pm. It was so empty, I guess everyone was still at the parks. I loaded the machines and then left, meeting my family at the pool. I was alittle nervous leaving the clothes there unattended, but some of the other machines had clothes in them and no one was waiting for them. I timed it to come back after 30 min. & then threw them in the dryer. I stayed there then for maybe 10 min. still being the only one in the room. So I left. THe dryers take long, so I kept coming back til they were done. I wasn't bad at all. If you do your laundry when on a non park day and hang around the pool it really isn't a bother. I did bring my own laundry from home (I used the round discs, purex) cause I knew I would use all the change at the arcade.

IF SoG is still in NGW when you are there please use the SGW laundry. I would say a much higher % of SoG/NGW guest use the laundry facilities. Last yr we along with several other staying in SoG/NGW had to use the SGW laundy because of the all those from the tower that were using NGW laundry. While the NGW laundry was packed, no one was in the SGW. We actually washed our clothes in the NGW but as mentioned the dryers take a long time. While our clothes were washed by 10 pm, we would have to of waited 2-3hrs just for a dryer to open up.
