Does anyone know if they sell laundry detergent out of a vending machine in the laundry room? Looking in particular for POFQ? I would rather not have to worry about bringing that and I will probably only do one or two loads. TIA

I believe all of the resorts with laundry facilities do sell detergent. You could always pick up a small pack of Purex 3-in-1 laundry sheets (they work as the detergent, fabric softener, and also as a dryer sheet) for just a few dollars.

We stayed at All Star Music and the laundry room did have a vending machine for purchasing laundry products. I believe it was $2.00 for one of those small boxes of detergent or fabric softener. I knew that during our trip that we would need to do at least 2-3 loads of laundry during our stay so I just bought a few boxes of powder detergent from our local neighborhood laundry mat for $0.75 a piece and just packed them in our suitcases. I didn't want to pay $2.00 for those small boxes of detergent at the resort, it's enough that they charge $2.00 to wash and dry a load of clothes .

I agree with you about the Purex laundry sheets, I brought them last trip and will again this time. They're great and take up no room at all in your luggage. :thumbsup2

Stayed at POFQ 8/22-9/1 the machine that sells laundry soap was broken. Purex laundry sheet are the way to go!!! Move them to a zip lock bag to save even more room in your luggage.

Another vote for Purex one sheets! Buy them pre-trip and put them in a ziploc bag. They don't take up much room (they lay flat!) and even in the ziploc bag, they make your suitcase smell good!

POFQ had Tide and Downy for $2 each....I think I am going to take the advice of the others and get the Purex sheets for our stay next month

I just had to pick some up tonight ! We check in tomorrow to AKL ;)

I just went to the local laundromat and they had the boxes of tide and boxes of 2 bounce sheets for only .75 each !!! So for 3.75 I have 3 boxes of tide and 2 boxes of 2 bounce sheets.

Way less then I usually spend buying them in the laundry rooms @ WDW :rotfl:

Another vote for Purex sheets. Target and Walmart sell travel packs with like three in a bag dirt cheap. They work great and smell nice too. I keep some in my suitcase more for beach trips than WDW but if I need them I have them!

I have never heard of the Purex sheets. I have to keep my eyes open for them the next time I am at Target. I used to get the small $1.00 bottles of All detergent, found in the travel bin area of Target. Two loads of laundry in one small bottle. I thought that was fantastic! I hope to find the sheets - even better and smaller. But do they work well?

I use them at the beach for swimwear, clothing and towels. I still bring pretreated but what I like is they also have softener in them too so no Bounve sheets needed.

We use the Purex sheets too. Takes up very little room in the suitcase, smells good, and does a good job getting the clothes clean. Purex.com sometimes has coupons. We bought a box last year and just transferred the sheets to a ziploc baggie that we keep with the luggage. We only do a load or 2 each trip, with usually 2 trips a year, so that box will last a while.

I get Purex, several times Dollar General has had sample type packages sealed with just 2 of them- perfect for vacation for about a buck:thumbsup2

We took those on our last trip and they worked great :thumbsup2

Purex! Purex! Purex!:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2
As it has been said, they don't take up any room in your luggage, they are detergent and softener, they won't spill all over the clothes in your luggage, and compared to Disney prices, they are cheap!!!
Go for the Purex!;)

The Purex sheets sound great to me. I will have to try them next trip, as I have been stopping at the Dollar store and getting a bottle of deterent . I wind up leaving it in the Disney laundry room when I leave to go home.
My question is: Do they work well as far as getting out dirt? No product cons?
