Laundry Detergent has changed ... Tide swapped for All

Checked into BWV last night ... and discovered that the Laundry Detergent has been changed. We found two single-load boxes of 'ALL' instead of 'TIDE.'

This is disappointing to me as related to allergies -- but not entirely surprising. So many timeshares that had supplied TIDE in the past have been moving to alternative products.

I'm glad we had a few single-load boxes in our Owner's Locker -- but will certainly need to restock. Sigh.

I'm the opposite. Since I'm allergic to Tide this is no loss to me.

I'm the same as hakepb - Tide bothers my skin and will make me wheeze if any residue is left on the fabric. All (Free and Clear) is the detergent of choice at home.

I wouldn't be surprised if DVC got a deal on ALL or if they're trying out a new supplier.

I'll keep supplying my own detergent regardless of what they use.

Yep, we got All there back in November. I remember being disappointed because I've always been a Tide person, even at home.

You are only supplied a single use with each mousekeeping service (every 4 days). So if you only have 1 emergency load you are OK. But bring your own if you will be doing laundry more frequently.

Yay, my same symptoms!

Although with me it's a bit odd...I can actually deal with Tide on a very SHORT term basis, but if I use it for longer than a few washes, I'm in trouble. I bought some last year, after using it at my brother's place and not having troubles, and within a few weeks I felt like I'd been washing my clothes in ground glass. That is how much my skin hurt b/c of the Tide! OUCH!

Ditto. Although I can make do as long as they don't supply any detergent with fabric softener mixed into it. I'm allergic to softener. Usually I do enough laundry that I go to Publix and buy my own detergent anyway.

Never liked Tide. Makes our whole family rash out. ALL never does.

This just made all of us happy campers! (Doesn't take much, does it?! )

Checked in to OKW today, and it's Tide here. Was at SSR a week ago, and it was Tide there also.

Will probably be phased in resort by resort, just like when they changed soaps and shampoos a number of years ago

Disney never standardized dishwasher detergent at various WDW hotels, so I would not be surprised if they remained different.
