late(r) ak hours

I just noticed that the hours at AK are later than previously posted (open until 9pm now instead of 5pm).
are all attractions open 5pm-9pm? what are crowd levels like during that time?
I only want to EE and maybe PW at AK so had planned to just spend couple hours on EMH morning, but now wondering if evening would work instead?
Would I be better to do morning EMH at AK or 7-9pm one night?

When we were there in June the evening crowds were quite low. We rode EE several times back to back. The nighttime vibe at AK is cool. I think I would go for an evening and do something else with the morning.

EMH will always be better crowd wise. Without a nighttime show available the line for EE will be longer than what it's been while they've been showing the Jungle Book show. All attractions are open until closing with the exception of the animal trails and Rafiki Planet Watch

I believe the Jungle Book show is scheduled to stop really soon, but I don't recall exact dates.

The crowd will drop off significantly around 6pm. We spent two evening at AK in June/July and it was awesome. The crowd level really goes down, especially by 7pm. Lines are nearly non-existent. I'd suggest the Safari at dusk, but you can ride it at night. We did once, around 9pm. It was eery. The buses were lined up just waiting for people to show up, so we literally walked right on the bus and there were only a couple of other people with us. The vibe in AK is definitely different and is pretty fun. It's also a lot cooler, which is great, because AK is such a hot park on a summer afternoon.

At the start of summer they started something called AK at night with a new night show, some rides opened at night and in all honestly getting the park ready for pandora.. It's been opened until 11pm nightly since that started and the hours are just starting to be lowered (which makes sense to me as it's getting darker earlier so they don't need to be opened until 11pm for ak at night)...

The original show (rivers of light) had major problems so they tossed together a not that great show based on jungle book. That show hasn't gone over well and ending on sept 5th. There is no word on when rivers of light will actually debut but right now based on hours posted, it looks like december hasn't been modified yet so maybe it'll happen in december but what is more likely, it'll be used to help raise attendance in a slow month or part of several other changes for next summer to compete with universals new water theme park....

As far as if it's better.. It's different, there isn't much opened at night but the street performers have been incredible at night, it's not been baking you in the sun and you get to see some rides like kali and everest that in my opinion are completely different and better at night. The sarfari is great at dusk with all animals more active but not in complete darkness as you can't see anything. During the day more is opened with more shows and things that require performers or animals that aren't nocturnal to do.

I would plan your day at AK like you've done in the past but having dinner and staying until it's darker for a ride on EE or Kali is not fun.
