Late check out.....?

As many times as I have stayed on Disney property...I have never asked this question. Can you request a late check out and if so, how "late" is the checkout??

I have heard that you can receive a 1:00 check out or can pay extra for a 4 PM check out. You need to ask the day before you leave and they can tell you at that time if it is possible to have a late check out. If the resort is full you won't get one.

But if you are staying at a DVC property, there is no late check out.

You can always leave your stuff with Bell Services and hit the parks.

We ask for it often, but keep in mind, while at the WL in Feb. this year, hubby asked at the front desk the morning of, as we have done in the past, and was told the new policy is that you have to call housekeeping and request it from them. We did and got a 1:00 PM checkout, no problem. Not sure if this is only the WL policy or new property wide. We have never been turned down whenever we have asked and that is from the All Stars to the CR & AKL.
