School lunch for me...

I can't wait for Friday b/c its our Rice Bowl day at school.. and it is so yummy!

until I just pack and BE LAST TO POST!

I had to go in and talk to the Principal today (who is also my Boss!)

my ds in 5th grade came home with homework in math last night.... 32 pages!!! He said if you didn't get it done you would have to stay in for recess to work on it

WHAT??!!

AND to top it all off.. this is testing week so they're really not supposed to be giving any homework at all. (I'm sure all the teachers here know how stressful on students and teachers for everyone to do good on these tests)... and yet he gives 32 PAGES!!

My poor son was so anxious and nervous about not getting it all done. He even skipped boy scouts to work on it. Grrrr...

The teacher played it off as a "misunderstanding", but I wasn't the only parent whose kid heard what he said and ended up calling or coming in to complain. One even brought in the paper that he gave all the kids with all 32 pages written down on it.

goes to Alabama for the company orientation next Mon/Tues then will get on the road (he's a trucker) next Wed...probably will be abt 3 weeks for 1st check but Thank You Lord ! & all of you for thoughts and prayers..hope its my turn soon

I feel so exhausted. I didn't sleep very well last night so I ended up just getting up at 5am... worked all day.... cooked a home cooked meal from scratch... cleaned up after dinner and am now hitting the "wall"

but I promised the kids I would make cookies, so I have to wait for them to cook, then I'm sending these kids to BED!
