It's a beautiful day here-almost 70 today and the weekend it will be in the mid to upper 70's :cool1:

Yesterday morning was a whirlwind! I had just posted on here about being anxious and wanting it to all be over and the phone rang. The doctor's first surgery had been cancelled and they wanted me there as soon as possible!! We couldn't get there much sooner than planned - only about 15 minutes earlier than planned! But they were waiting at the door for me and it was off to the races! It all seemed to go so fast. I remember talking to the doctor in the operating room just as he had finished and I coomented that it was 10:05 and I wasn't even supposed to go in for surgery until 10:30!!! W left the hospital at 11:40.

getting it over with so quickly didn't give you much time to worry about it.

I didn't sleep at all yesterday when we got home. My friend brought dinner over for us and all I did was lay around. I took 3 pain pills yesterday - before the numbing wore off. The numbing finally wore off during the night but there's not much pain - just achy. So, I haven't taken anything for pain since 11:30 last night.

glad there isn't a lot of pain. How is the tingly feeling in your fingers?

Okay - but kind of depressed. Now that the numbing medication has worn off I am able to tell that my index finger and my thumb are still numb and tingly like they were before surgery! :sad2: They had said those two fingers may not get better! :sad1:

 how soon before the doctor will know how the surgery turned out
