In a perfect world she will get out Thursday, but that isn't likely based on her last stay. She went in with a low iron count so all kinds of things besides how well she can walk will come into play. She was up on the floor by 2:30PM which is a good sign. They have her on a morphine drip, so she's pretty out of it. PT came up got her to walk 75 ft down the hallway. They have this "Cruise Ship" analogy and there is a magnetic board on the wall with all sorts of destinations in varying distances from LA via Cruise ship. The farther you walk the father you move your magnet across the board, it is cumulative as far as you walk throughout the week. So far she is halfway to Catalina Island!
Massage was relaxing, sort of. I used to always book deep tissue, but recently I've switched to Swedish for a more relaxing experience. However this woman was definitely employing deep tissue techniques. I've never had a swedish massage when they use the point of the elbow! That's part of what I was avoiding, it's not so relaxing when you have to breathe out to release the pressure! I just moved my arms and my back is sore! Yes she got the muscles going, but I didn't want any pain afterwards! Ugh, I may have to find a new massage place.
Yay for her making it 75 feet! I just hope she doesn't have any complications

Would taking a hot bath or shower help the soreness? I've never had a massage, so I don't know if that would help at all
