I hope Fran has an easy surgery on Monday!

Thanks! I hope so too. It won't be easy becuase she is really overweight and anemic, but hopefully it will go as well as it can. This time I will expect that she will be in recovery until after 8PM even though her surgery is at 7:30AM, that way I can use the day productively instead of worry all day like I did when she got her hip done!

That's cute! You found my new site! I've been stealing the URLs from Kim! I've been bookmarking them, but tonight I went through through the whole site and found my saxophone!

Love your boo guy!

It actually gave me an idea for a cheap costume :lmao: I already have most of it, I'd just need a headband with horns :teeth:

After I feed the kids, it will be time for

Tomorrow my cleaning lady is coming early in the morning and then we are going out to hear the Glenn Miller Orchestra (about 1-2 hrs away depending on traffic). It's a free concert! Yay! Bring your picnic dinner type thing. I know it sounds like we have been living it up, but after knee surgery we're confined to home for a while, so we've been trying to get in all the fun that we can until Fran is confined to home with a recovering knee.

Hope you all enjoy your weekend!

And understandably so :) Jacquie's worried about getting bored while she recuperates, and they can't afford a cleaning lady. So I told her that if the house gets too dirty, to give me a call :lmao:

Have a great weekend, and I hope you guys have fun!

Thanks! I just fed the kids and now it's off to it will be a challenge come Monday! She will want to go home Thursday, but I know she won't be ready and when the staff tells her she has to go to rehab she will be devastated. If she fools them into letting her come home, my life will be miserable so it is a double edged sword. Either way it will be difficult, just which way!

Well, I hope the staff will be able to convince her that she needs to stay put and get some rehab. We have a resident like that at my work. Her balance is so poor that she can barely stand up with a walker and two aides, so when she went to the hospital a month ago, the administration told her that she HAS to get some rehab before she can come back, since we don't take residents who can't transfer themselves. She's not happy at all about it, but we can't transfer her. She's a rather big lady, you know?

 I really hope the next few weeks go well for you guys :)

:confused3I pretty much help her out with anything she need to do, shoes, socks, if I'm awake pants or shorts, those she can get on her own, but not easily. Anything that needs to go from here to there, folders of music, papers, drinks, plates, food all that I have to bring to her, she walks with two canes so there isn't much left for her to carry with besides her pockets or her mouth. After the hip, (they didn't give her all her antidepressants in the hospital so she was a basket case by the time they let her out), she came home, but wasn't ready. She couldn't get into bed for two months and slept in her electric lift recliner chair. Her leg cramped up every time she moved and we had to get drugs from Canada (still do). For at least a month she was upset and kept saying, "I should have stayed in the hospital", but when she is there, all she wants to do is come home. :confused3 Ugh, I"m in a catch 22!

I just hope that things work out better this time!

Yeah, it sounds like things were bad last time  I hope they're better with this surgery :grouphug:

And if they're not, you have us to complain to
