I'm going to stop at my favorite bakery and pick up some fudge covered pound cake to share. It's right by the airport, and I'm sure my mom (or dad, depending on who gives me a ride) wouldn't mind stopping as long as I bought them something. What do you think, Ruthie? :) Their fudge icing is AMAZING.
I do apologise for butting in [I haven't read much if any of the previous 67 pages] but when I went to check on if PrincessinOz had updated her TR I thought I'd see where one of her other posts would lead...
I see this is where PrincessinOz found her partners in crime :lmao::rotfl2:

So here I am...and the latest post on the page (which I have quoted) has a link to a bakery....which I click out of curiousity....and find out it has.........
BANANA SPLIT TORTE
I'm actually going to Chicago in a few months....and this has been added to the list to visit! [I have something of a banana split obsession :cloud9:]

Anyway...
I'll just move along now as I am about to fall asleep as I type...
Not sure if I'll get the time to come back at all but
G'day...and G'night
and TIA... :cool1:

So I'm home :) And I'm glad you and your horses and dog are okay, Ruthie! I also totally missed that in the candy apple talk :lmao:

I'm thinking that when I head down for my plane (since now I'm going to be catching an afternoon flight, as I'm leaving a day early), I'm going to stop at my favorite bakery and pick up some fudge covered pound cake to share. Thank you no...I have gained probably 40 lbs since being out of work last August :sad2:& am DETERMINED to get it off (and then some)

Hiya Ness! That was pretty scary let me tell you :scared1: after I fed Maxine I went over to the kitchen window and boy was I WRONG about how far I had pulled that silly dog up & over the windowsill it's over my head the height & I'm 5'4"...God was certainly here this morning :littleangel:

Weber's is AMAZING. I'm very biased, obviously, but they're consistently one of the better bakeries in Chicago :) Definitely try something with their fudge icing! Have a great trip in Chicago! :teeth:

How about a (singular, as in just one) kolachky? Those aren't that big (about two inches in diameter), and aren't as unhealthy as chocolate covered pound cake :lmao:

3,800 look at me <------- :woohoo:

Yaaaay! pixiedust:

Okay, I'm off to :cloud9: I have an awful headache and am hoping I'll be able to sleep it off.

Funny thing, but even though the parents are home again, Delilah's still sleeping in my room. I think it's because it's air conditioned. :lmao: :dogdance:

See you all later! :grouphug:

I have NO idea what that is :confused3 but with me its better to avoid the delicious stuff totally or there's no stopping me....ADRs and Holidays all bets are off but I am really trying to be good & if you saw a picture of me from 10 yrs ago you would understand.....just want to be top shape again

Does anyone ever stick around for an answer around here ? ;-)

Oh, I understand  I'm trying to work on my belly. Then again, ten years ago, I was sixteen :rolleyes1 I was fat then, too.

Kolacky. It's a Polish pastry with jam in the center and dusted with powdered sugar. When made well, they're quite light and fluffy and not heavy at all.

Point of interest, my sister's godfather and his wife had their wedding cake made by this bakery, actually. :)

Plus, if I were to only BRING one, then there would be about a thousand miles keeping you from more :stir:

I'm kidding :)

Hey, try being in the same city as that bakery :) I'm so glad it's on the OTHER side of town :lmao: I'm going, I just got pounced on Gmail Talk by my cousin. Heading to bed now :) Night!

:cloud9:

Good Afternoon Ladies!

I guess I was the only one who didn't miss the "dog & pony" story! Glad everything worked out OK Ruthie!

So I read the rules of the scavenger hunt, I wish I had the time for that kind of stuff. I can't even keep up with my subscriptions! Just imagine if I had an actual job!

What are you trying to do???!! Get back with the microwave popcorns popcorn::. I saw this picture, heard about banana splits from Queenie and for a second.....almost asked you bring some with you in October :scared1:. That just means that I have less space in my stomach for Disney snacks!

Ruthie, did you ever see my Salmon back on page...uh...i don't know...?

Morning Ness. I saw Salmon from you and Alison....

Hi Alison. Hope you are well! Some of us were distracted by toffee apples! And I know what you mean! My job keeps getting in the way of my DisBoarding :)

:lmao: Okay, okay, I won't stop at the bakery and bring anything :) I promise :teeth:

Just to be clear...you're still bringing the chocolate fudge pound cake?? :rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Sure :) It turns out that I may not be going to that airport now, but if I can, I'll stop there early that morning and pick it up. My uncle came over today and we were talking about travel and it turns out he has airline miles that he has to use before the end of the year. He's not planning any trips, so if he can, he said he'll use them for my flight! That would mean I'd be flying out of O'Hare instead of Midway, but I'd still head down that way to pick up the pound cake :cutie:

WOW! Nice uncle!

Don't go out of your way to get the cake. We can always find plenty to substitute at the World.....

Well, how about this: If I fly out of Midway, I'll get something from Weber's. If I fly out of O'Hare, I'll get something from Dinkel's. :) Dinkel's is right on my way home from work, so I could pick it up on the morning of the 23rd on my way home.
