I sent dh to the store yesterday to get milk.

MILK... he came out with over $50 worth of groceries.

Typical! My DH does the same thing!

I just don't want to have to add to the end of the school year.

We have our vacation planned already! All we can afford is 2 extra days at the end.. and then we have to cancel our vacation

I think we should have just had school today... with a 2 hour delay.

we've used up all our calamity days now, and we're supposed to get hit hard again next week!

If our kids miss two more days they'll be out of the built-in days and will have to go to school on Saturdays!

They took away one teacher workday in December but the only other workdays that are left are "protected workdays" that can't be used. They used to tack it onto the end of the year but last year the school board voted for Saturdays instead.

Seriously, I had to run to my car for something this afternoon and it is so windy but it would be a perfect beach day.

My friend and I went to Applebee's for lunch today. She had some chocolate dessert that resembled that...chocolate cake, vanilla ice cream and loads of chocolate sauce. I had a maple blondie (I think that's what it was called) a blonde brownie, vanilla ice cream and a warm maple sauce. Oh my, it was good!
